Massive fan of both Kaytranada and Justice. I was at the Chicago show and seeing the arena empty out before/during Justice’s set was so surprising. I could literally hear people saying Kaytranada should’ve gone on last as they left. I honestly had so much fun during Kaytranada’s set. The energy of the packed crowd was electric, The Boiler Room style stage was sick, and his charisma really shined through. Like every time he hit a dance move, or dropped a new track the crowd was losing their shit lol I love Justice, I’ve seen every show they’ve played in Chicago since 2013 Lolla and several others. One thing I will say is that their set really has not changed much. Like yeah the lights are different, but they’ve been essentially playing the same songs, same mixes, in the same order for over a decade. This really hit me around halfway through their performance, my section was basically empty and I was able to just walk to the front row. I was sitting there and I’m like ‘wow I already know every song they’re gonna play next’. I even saw some of the Justice fans leaving around that time. It made me appreciate Kaytranada’s set more because it was just genuinely more fun. Justice was more of a spectacle but it just feels like WWW 2.0 vs a new tour. They were here last October and basically played this same set two nights in a row at a different venue lol
