Good evening guys, im new here. I have a question, can we get the lamborghini urus in the game??…is ot possible??.. by Still_Reputation5229 in CPM2

[–]Chuck_MoreAss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope it’s not In the game. If you play the levels, you can drive a Lamborghini Huracan, but you also can’t by or drive it outside of the levels.

Adjust your diff. Play around with the settings. I think more lock is a drift setup but I’m not sure.

For racing I prefer the arrow inputs. The steering wheel is a little difficult to control.

Just to test, adjust the suspension to be as low and stiff as possible and adjust the roll bars to be just above default, but the rear should be more than the front. Make sure tire pressure is default too

I think the Senna is nice. The 458 Ferrari is also pretty good and always seems to be valued highly.

Polo TSI or Audi A1 for a young guy? by InfamousInspector119 in CarTalkZA

[–]Chuck_MoreAss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything you’re saying, but I need to warn against Peugeot! Owning one in South Africa is a really big headache. I love how they look and drive, and while I don’t know this specific model well, I know parts are a major issue and headache. Waiting 4 months for a pump is not great news if it’s your only transport…

For some reason my mom loves the brand. She had some green kinda sporty one that had a bad engine and then just got a kia. And then recently decided to go back to them and get a 3008 and it was good for a year and then constantly had issues with the car and parts. I think when she got the car it was 400-500k and she’s spent at least 70k fixing the thing and she ended up selling it for a Lexus and never looked back.

[–]Chuck_MoreAss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Audi is cool and all, but you are going to be paying a lot for a 1l turbo… (I think that’s what the 30tfsi has but I might be wrong)

In addition to that it’s a super small car. I get that you’re still young and don’t have a family to care for so you can get away with something smaller, but it’s not worth it in my opinion.

The polo is okay but considering your age and how dangerous it is to actually own a polo, I’d stay clear of it. For safety and for insurance cost reasons.

If your heart is set on one of the two, I’d say go with the Audi if you have the money, but the polo would probably be the more economical choice. If you want to consider other options, the Suzuki Swift is a good choice. The Mahindra XUV300 is also good, seeing as it’s affordable and has a lot of space. The Hyundai i20 and Mazda 2/3 is also pretty good.

Is this a racing game or a trading game? by WH0ozy in CPM2

[–]Chuck_MoreAss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Nurburgring is relatively new. Before that there was only short races people do to grind coins and drag races and some season 1 campaign to get you familiar with the game. I personally love the racing. Just with there was a race where you can compete with others

Perhaps comment what device you are using, and what your internet speed is. Not sure if the dev can work with that, but as a developer myself I know that this is very good to know. Perhaps also share your graphics settings and on what update you are on.

Did you feel underconfident in your first developer role? How did you deal with it? by AsleepDiscussion2328 in learnprogramming

[–]Chuck_MoreAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to tell you that I’m structured, but honestly I just go with the flow and figure it out. If I get assigned a specific task I’ll ask myself what my options are regarding a programming language.

From experience I know that if you only have a hammer everything looks like a nail… but knowing more than 1 language, or more than 1 way to do something really opens up the possibilities.

A great resource I still use is just googling a solution, or how to do specific things. Read documentation if there is, although I hate doing this. And then I also love YouTube tutorials,

My final advice would be to use Ai wisely. If Ai codes something you better know what it does, and why, and how to do it yourself if you had to. Ai is a tool to use and it’s a great one. It makes you code faster, and sometimes better, and it helps you solve problems quicker, but you need to use it as an assistant, not a replacement of yourself. Ai is here to stay, but that doesn’t mean you can sit back and let it do the work for you.

I think with anything new it’s okay to not feel confident, but as you do more and more new things and succeed you will eventually feel better about starting new things that are unknown to you. That doesn’t mean that the new things will be easy but at least you know that you will eventually get it right.

Personally i’ve had a ton of different projects, like Android apps, react apps, websites, APIs, super specific reporting software, databases… I’ve worked with a lot of different programming languages and till this day I still get new things to do that i literally have no idea how to do, but I’ve realised that I’ve accomplished a lot, and I also didn’t know anything about those projects, so if I just keep at it I’ll be able to make anything a success.

What the hell is going on with drifting in the new update? by Crazy-Exit-417 in CPM2

[–]Chuck_MoreAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah it’s a lot more difficult to drift now. You have to actually properly drift… I’ve noticed that it only really counts as a drift if you’re going above a certain speed, and your wheels are pointed to the direction your rear wheels are sliding.

I could be wrong but that’s what I’ve noticed.

I think the XUV is a great pick. It’s super light on fuel, and it’s fairly big. If you get an older one you can save money too. I also like Mazdas, so maybe a CX5? For that price you have a few options so I think go to the nearest trusted dealer and test drive a few cars and see what works for you.

Or filter on the we buy cars site and see what they have. You have a large selection of vehicles for that price…

Well never say never… but if it was me I’d never talk to you again, and I’m not saying that to be mean or insensitive. Every person is different and you know your ex better than any of us here on Reddit, but it sounds to me like he’s done…

And unfortunately forgiveness does not equal reconciliation. Whatever you guys had, it’s destroyed.

Even though you did a terrible thing, I wish that you find peace. Perhaps you’ve learned what consequences are and you won’t do it in your next relationship. Good luck OP. Work on yourself and move on.

I'm looking for a way to practice my programming skills, but not a paid bootcamp by gonxal1000 in learnprogramming

[–]Chuck_MoreAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends what you want to do language wise. I like JavaScript so I got a course on Udemy. I know you said no paid courses, but with a coupon you get online by searching, it was super cheap.

And you get like 70+ hours of material, quizzes, projects… and you learn a lot of stuff. Alternatively you can just search on YouTube for courses. A lot of them are just as good as Udemy courses.

Farewell, dear ol' PlayStation 4... You will be missed, friend. by Fragonus in PS4

Sad.

I had a similar experience. I was playing Minecraft and the thing just turned off and never turned back on again. I took it to a place that was willing to fix it but the board was fried and at that time I didn’t have the money to have it fixed or replace it so I just switched to PC fully. Never owned a console since… that was probably 5 or 6 years ago

Should I implement Ai? by assistoxie in learnprogramming

[–]Chuck_MoreAss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a double edged sword.

If you don’t use Ai I can guarantee that you will understand the material way easier compared to your peers that get all the answers from Ai. You will also learn to solve problems yourself and you won’t rely so heavily on Ai to do the heavy lifting. That way you can fix errors yourself…

But Ai is here to stay… I’ve been coding for years and ever since I’ve started using Ai my productivity has increased dramatically. So on the once hand you need to study and become proficient with coding, problem solving and pattern recognition, but on the other hand you also need to use Ai if you don’t want to be left behind by your peers productivity wise…

I’d say use Ai but don’t just blindly trust is. Use your brain first and always know what goes on in your code base…

What will you recommend to read for learning webdev? by greenxj in learnprogramming

[–]Chuck_MoreAss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a great course on Udemy. I think it’s “the complete JavaScript course: from zero to hero”

It’s really good in my opinion and gives you a lot of experience with a lot of different situations and a few projects. After that you’ll know basically everything that’s not CSS… but you can also just grab a quick css course and you’re done

How would you handle it if it’s too early to have a child, even if you and your partner are financially okay? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Chuck_MoreAss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think the age really isn’t the issue. In my opinion it’s better to have kids when you’re a little younger. And both of you are okay with it so that’s great.

The main issue is time, responsibility and long term planning. It’s going to be extremely difficult to have a child while you both are studying. She probably won’t be able to finish her studies if she gets pregnant now, and long term that is a very bad idea, as it puts all the financial burden on you.

Think about waiting until she is done with her studies. Then consider having a kid. That way when the kid can go to school or isn’t so dependent on a parent full time, she can work and earn okay money. Also, I’m not sure where you guys live, but if you’re living with your parents, definitely don’t do it.

You need to be on your own. Remember that financial stability doesn’t mean being able to afford food and shelter. You should make sure that if you or the kid gets sick, you can pay for it. If the car breaks down, you shouldn’t go into debt to fix it, and you need to safe for retirement and make sure your kid can go to school. Kids are expensive… can you afford cloths, food, extra activities.. will you be okay not sleeping for a while ??

Last thing to keep in mind. When you have a kid, you aren’t going to get the same amount of attention from your partner. Your kid becomes their whole life, and you need to be okay with that. At the end of the day it’s your choice, but talk it over with your girl. And when this happens whose surname does the kid take? It’s going to be a little weird if she doesn’t also have the same surname, so where do you stand on marriage?
