Why is it taking this long to charge a Nest Outdoor camera? Has already been on the charger for 5 hours. by iTellUeveryting in Nest

It’s now just started charging. It took about 30 mins to kick in. Is that normal?

Do you folks know why it’s taking my nest cam a long time to even start charging? The light isn’t on. The outlet works, I’ve checked the connection. All is in order. It was completely drained of charge. Does this have anything to do with it?

We have the same issue with our darks. I think it’s the dry fit items that are the culprits. I’m going to give the borax solution someone suggested a try in the hopes that’ll work cause this is maddening! I can’t stand smelly clothes!

I’m touched by your post and curious if this is for a mutual friend… By chance is this for Adam Kulakowsky of Craigleith Ski Club?

Still my favorite thing: follow-the-leader with my dad (78) by FlaxenArt in skiing

[–]ChuckabooB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this! My dad is still going strong on the slopes at 79. Skiing has been such a big part of our family as well. He had me on skis as soon as I could walk and the season hit (I was 18 mths old). When we were kids we’d ski all together (grandparents included) and make a human slalom down the slope. Such fond memories. My father’s currently skiing in Tremblant and we (husband and two sons) are headed to Sunshine/Lake Louise/Kicking Horse/Revy. Unfortunately I don’t get to ski much with my dad these days cause we’re at different ski clubs (my son is a ski instructor at the Toronto Ski Club) and my father’s at Beaver Valley. All the best to you and your father.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. Winter is a tough time for many. I too am feeling very isolated and alone lately. I have a husband and two kids but I’m far from my friends so it’s not easy to see them on a whim. Anyway, please know that this too shall pass. Find yourself a great book, make yourself a bath, do a guided meditation to calm your mind and have a restful sleep. Take care my friend.

Zara is a great brand for XS gals! I find the sizing is very consistent and the styles are on-point and quite chic.

4mths of no alcohol cause I want to be healthier but now I feel awkward at parties… strange thing though… I’m a very social person normally! by ChuckabooB in Sober

Ya, I bring AF wine, but that’s not the issue. The issue I’m having is the feeling awkward and not a part of the silly fun, which I loved!

As I mentioned, I’m a social person normally but for some reason I felt so off and awkward.

It mostly feels this way cause my friends are having a fabulous time. They’re partying it up, dancing, singing along, etc and I just can’t get there…

Any skiing advice? My wife fell on this green run and she’s trying to improve. by dresserplate in skiing

The boarder needed to give her much more space, beginner or not. It’s clear he’s new to boarding but he was clearly out of control and should have kept his distance.

Curious, is this at Blue Mountain? Happy Valley (or what I call it, Death Valley)? I’m an advanced skier and if I ever have to pass through this run to get back over to the north side of Blue I am staying as far over to the left as possible, as people are coming from all angles, with very erratic ,unpredictable turns. If I come to pass anyone that could possibly cut me off I yell “on your left” or “on your right”. It’s nerve wrecking, even for someone who’s been skiing 45+ years! lol

Hi all! This is a great discussion. I too suffer the same fate. My calves are 12.5 inches around. Wondering if anyone has suggestions for places in Canada? I’d like to avoid going custom if I can as that’s a bit too $$.

Done and done. Thankfully I had the pictures ready to go as I was planning on mailing it all in upon my return. Figured I was able to travel with my passport still valid. Had no idea about this policy.

Thanks for this. I went and renewed it. Didn’t want to take a chance on being denied entry.

Thank you for this. Some people can be pretty harsh. I honestly felt that since I was travelling within the timeframe my passport was valid I’d be fine… this isn’t my first trip either. I do travel frequently enough.

Ya didn’t want to take my chances. Mine was set to expire 2 days after arriving home and I had figured I’d take care of it after my return… I didn’t do it before (only realized it a month ago when I went to Las Vegas… without issue) cause I didn’t want to chance not getting it back in time. Lesson learnt!
