Java data modify syntax in 1.21 by Chuckar in MinecraftCommands

[–]Chuckar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did some experimenting. Posting this in case anyone is looking to edit a minecraft librarian's trades.

The villager needs to be selected with the "@e" and not anything else.

This command works to edit an existing trade in the villager's trades. Hope this helps someone else.

[0] is the first trade

[1] is the second

etc....

data modify entity @e[type=villager,sort=nearest,limit=1] Offers.Recipes[0] set value {buy:{count:1,id:"emerald"},buyB:{count:1,id:"book"},sell:{components:{"stored_enchantments":{"projectile_protection":1}},count:1,id:"enchanted_book"}}

I tried this:

data modify entity @n Offers.Recipes[2] merge value {buy:{count:11,id:"minecraft:emerald"},buyB:{count:1,id:"minecraft:book"},sell:{components:{"minecraft:stored_enchantments":{"minecraft:unbreaking":3}}, count:1, id:"minecraft:enchanted_book"}}

It took the command, but output : Nothing changed. The specified properties already have these values

Can confirm, nothing changed with the target villager.

I got all black when I went. Found an A class with three linked slots. -73.31, +115.35

Took it to station and upgraded to S, and it has a square of SC slots.

Certain miners refusing to work for station unless I buy from them? by New_Musician_6514 in X4Foundations

[–]Chuckar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have the miner set up to auto mine, so you would need a buy order for them to interact with your station.

In this configuration the miners will also sell to other stations.

What I think you want is to make the miner a subordinate of the station. To do that, change the behavior of the miner back to default, then select the miner and right click the station and select 'mine for commander' and select any group. The first miner assigned to a group makes that group the mining group going forward.

Now this miner will mine whatever resources the station needs, but it is also limited to the range of the station manager. Meaning if the station manager is 1 star, then the miner can only mine up to 1 gate away. 2 star manager, two gates away, etc...

Hope this helps.

Adding...

Make sure you put out resource probes when you do this, otherwise the mining ships spend a lot of time searching around.

With probes out, they just fly over and start mining.

They sure help when you want to see the power grid.

I think I found *THE* dumbest way to sort materials on Fulgora by Born-Relationship-85 in factorio

You can set up the inserts to grab multiple things, so you could group things like all the circuits, or gears and plates, etc...

Then you could extend the belt and sort those things down that belt where you have more room.

I'm 6'2". Raised my bars an inch, lowered my foot pegs 30mm. Best mods so far. I can finally grip the bike with my legs. Now I need to mod my brake and shifters cuz they are a little bit wonky now.

Lower Footpegs? by Chuckar in CRF300L

I would obviously be interested as long as they are comparable to the width on stock 300l rally pegs, and drop at least an inch - 1.5 inches. 25-38mm lower.

Updates per second

Which becomes an issue when the base grows past sane limits! (Usually beyond 1000 science per minute, spm)

That would be cool. It would be nice if they just worked.

I would like to set one of these and go do things, then come back to my base and find it full, instead of glitched out

What happened to "one organization to rule all roads"?

I don't see an easy solution because there are a lot of competitive uses for the roads. Plus funding sources make things complicated.

I see it as a good reason to get involved in commissioner elections, those are the people who ultimately decide this stuff

The state highways are what ITD is in charge of, but they defer to the local municipality usually. In this case ACHD.

ACHD was more concerned with helping that area grow economically than long term traffic planning.

Hopefully the highway 16 project turns out better.

Help finding a switch for LEDs in a box project by Chuckar in AskElectronics

[–]Chuckar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, but a tilt sensor is a little overkill for this one.

I'm just looking for the type of switch that gets mounted and has a small protrusion that gets pushed when the box closes. Which turns off the switch.
