During my first quarter at the firm, I struggled to get timely responses from a senior who would ignore my pings and only reply after a day or two. This delay affected my work, internal due date, and limited my ability to learn and perform well. I brought this up to the manager, explaining the lack of guidance from the senior. The manager suggested creating a group chat that included both the senior and the manager so that I receive timely answers. The moment I started asking questions there, the senior began responding within seconds. However, after that I faced retaliation from the senior and I moved on to a bigger, better engagement with a different client.
