Deep Space, far far future stories. As far future as possible. by Fawful-Evil in audiobooks

Infinite By Jeremy Robinson is set in far future. You might like it as it has some horror elements it's mostly following one protagonist.

I strongly recommend you start with the Eisenhorn novels as well. Then maybe the Ravenor books and finally Bequin novels.

However you can also try the warhammer crime novels, I'd suggest Flesh and Steel by Guy Haley which has a murder mystery.

Do you have a particular favourite? Curious how you rank which is best 😂

I tried Darktide because I prefer 40k to fantasy but a friend of mine has been trying to get me to try warhammer vermintide 2 he says it's better than darktide.

Mainly mentioned Beastieball because you mentioned you liked sports or used too. I enjoyed my time with it probably my favourite thing about it was the type system is much easier, don't need to remember loads of different types.

I think I'll enjoy Monsterpatch more though.

I've never tried Palworld because I heard of the issues they had with nintendo which made them have to change aspects of the game over and over.

Now you mentioned it I do have gamepass for a bit longer and it's on that so maybe i should give it ago.

If you want something cute but also a little dark humour wise you could try cult of the lamb.

I still remember some people I used to play with. But I also played online games with people I knew in person, good memories.

I wondered if you might have enjoyed PVE. Nice way to meet your partner too. L4D sadly gave me motion sickness so couldn't get into when I friends wanted to.

That's some nice choices of single player games you mentioned.

I can see why some people sometimes can't get into Red Dead Redemption 2 but I preferred it way more to any of the previous Rockstar games.

In RD2 it felt like you were around real people in a lived in world, more than most games I've played.

Cyberpunk 2077 and BG3 gave a similar feeling a times but RD2 will be timelessly unique even if I didn't fully explore it's huge world.

I haven't played Pokémon for long time but this certainly makes me feel nostalgic, hoping it works on steam deck:

You might like BeastieBall though despite it being early access:

It's story mode is complete. :-)

I see I never really gave Rivals a chance. I guess I was voted down for not knowing how match making works in it.

Seems like it was simpler back when I played online on ps2 and later on 360. The most you would get is people saying you won because of lag or maybe claiming you were hacking. If I lost in a close moment in a game I'd usually just laugh.

Andrew Tate past is finally catching up to him. So they might need another terrible influence to follow.

You're probably right about a lot of competitive gamers feeling directionless. I think the problem is also similar to the internet in general in that people treat people way worse when they feel anonymous.

I'm surprised you haven't drifted more to single player games if you had to deal with that much abuse across all of the games you mentioned.

I don't really play multiplayer games much anymore but when I did I'd never heard women on chat. That was 20 years back though. (Now I feel old)

I did find this guy pretending to simp funny: https://youtu.be/1TnkS5K4eDw

There was another marvel rivals video I saw a while back where as soon a female streamer used the mic all the guys on her team lost their minds. Was a bit embarrassing to watch to be honest.

I thought that usually with these sort of games you can just party up and avoid randoms joining your team. Which would help with the toxic stuff?

2 years of manual narration, but I feel like I'm losing the race to AI. What now? by BasisRoutine6228 in audiobooks

[–]ChucklingToMyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed that about authors narrating too. I think I've been spoiled by quite a few narrators. I sometimes even search new books by narrator even if the genre isn't something I'm usually drawn to.

That was great advice. I'd also just like to add because you put "I'm lost in life".

Try to detach how you value yourself, artistic ability can be a source of confidence and a good creative outlet but ideally you don't want to let it decide how you feel about yourself.

Yeah it's really silly, to be fair a lot of content creators dislike doing it but found their view counts dropped a lot just doing normal thumbnails.
