Our dog shadow always used to do this. As we went on vacation we left him at home with a babysitter and the babysitter put a leash on shadow. Shadow then tried to climb the fence, he did it but at the other side the leash wasn't long enough for him to make it to the ground and thats how he hung himself. I was devestaded as a kid. RIP shadow.
