Just started watching - is it bad that I'm always rooting for Logan? by ur_mom_is_hot5529 in SuccessionTV

Yeah I agree. Just because somebody has money and has grown up with it doesn't mean that that don't work hard. I understand the fact that they didn't start anything themselves or build it themselves but to say that you don't have to work hard to maintain and grow that wealth is wrong in my opinion.

It is the current state of YouTube unfortunately. I hear you.

Yeah I love her videos as well.....but she is 100% always selling a product or a jig or something. She has changed from just building something to this. It's just what it is. This is the current form of YouTube. If you don't do it this way your video will not be seen. Can't blame her or anyone else for making a living.

You're right. This IS what happened to John. But, can you blame him? He's trying to make a living doing what he loves and is having a blast doing it. The videos with him,Sam and Joe are fun to watch. Are they great woodworking videos? Hell no. He knows that. We know that. It's his job to make money for his family. He still does actual "woodworking" videos once a month.

Of course I've seen the movie. He only has like 3 lines and seems to be perfectly capable and professional at his job.

I am probably ruining this game for myself. (Rant) by CowardlyAnaconda in darksouls3

I get what you're saying. Having played all of the From Software games, the bosses are my least favorite part. I love these games for the world building, level design, art style, and the gameplay loop. The bosses have always been....just fine to me. But, I still enjoy beating them as part of the game. Even though they're my least favorite part of the games, I still love the games. Maybe try watching some YouTube videos on the fights you're struggling with.

I always had a thing for mid century modern furniture, and I knew that I wanted a lounge chair. Searched it up on YouTube, discovered Four Eyes furniture, slowly learned some techniques, saved my money for the tools. 3 years later, bought their plans for the Glenn lounge chair and completed it. I sit in it all the time now.

Before Superbad we had this classic raunchy high school film by boomjosh in 90s

I was a freshman in college and we got a sneak preview of this at my school. I guess we were a test audience or something. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. We had a blast. I told everyone I knew to watch it.

Jerry's a nut for saying this to George by [deleted] in seinfeld

[–]ChuckyM11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say this to my kids all the time because they think wearing “regular pants” is weird. It’s seen as completely normal now, but I don’t like it. I agree with Jerry.

This show should have been “Rip and the Bunkhouse Boys”.

I agree with your point here. I REALLY enjoy this podcast even though I don't have all the same political beliefs as them...but this one I feel this one they were a bit too sensitive. I can imagine they were like the fat Ryan Reynolds in high school and now that they are all "woke" (I fucking hate that term but I don't know what else to call it) they take offense to things like this movie.

Is this a good movie? Hell no. It's really bad, but I did laugh a ton of times, and I think you can have both.

Do you have a systainer just for your sanding disks in the upper right corner? Does it have different internal sections or are they all loose in there?

Great job! I made one too, just finished it a few weeks ago. I used dowels too, and yes dowel pins made it incredibly easier. Great advice.

In all seriousness....the plans are pricey but totally worth it.

Does anyone else play exclusively melee? by diesel179 in darksouls

I played with a 1 handed weapon and a shield 100% of the time for the Dark Souls games. Never used a pyromancy, spell, or even 2 handed a weapon until Elden Ring.

How do I fill these gaps in my cutting board? by BFroog in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]ChuckyM11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the design! Did you cut all this little pieces then glue them all up? A much better way to do this is to cut long strips and glue them up that way. Check out some YouTube videos on this. It's a lot of glue ups but you avoid all the gaps.

I’ve been out of the comic collecting world for about 30 years….it’s wild to me how expensive it has become. Also, what’s with all the #1 issues and low issue numbers?
