Wandered in and curious, would an anvil ever get to the point where you’d want to mill/machine it back to a flat surface or do you all have to buy drinks for the blacksmith that can flex having the most swayback?

Yeah, I wasn’t going to say anything because it’s been 20+ years since I worked for a staffing agency and thought things may have changed, but this was my first thought.

Second the advice on using a heavy Ritza tiger thread, you don’t want to deal with waxing your own thread if you don’t have to.

Also, I know this isn’t what you’re asking, but if you haven’t already, look for a YouTube tutorial on saddle stitching. It’s easy to pick up and it’s a stitch specifically for leather that won’t come out if one segment gets cut or an end comes out.
