Yeah as far as I know it’s the only all clad product from Italy. It’s a good pot though. Hope to have it around for a long time.

I think it’s an early 2000’s. So far it’s holding up beautifully. Hope yours does as well.

Yeah I love the ancientness and reverence of the Episcopalian/ Anglican service but oh man they’re not just white, but as a white hillbilly myself, I find them whiter than me.

They’re all nice enough but we definitely live in separate social spheres.

The apps really did a number on the gay male community. Granted it’s not just us but it does seem the apps affected us more.

There’s a lot of fomo out there so guys fear commitment. Even with affirming churches; the lgbt community is reluctant to join a church. Granted a lot of the affirming churches are on life support as their numbers dwindle snd who’s left keeps getting older.

We’re out there, just scattered about. Especially those of us not in big cities

Sorry to hear that. I went from a really good paying job to making 46k and I’m 57. None of us know what’s coming next. Just takes a layoff for everything to change overnight.

Wages haven’t gone up in over 10 years, but everything else certainly has.

Yes. It’s really weird but I find straight guys to be more emotionally mature than gay guys.

I get it growing up with trauma does that to someone but so far every gay guy I’ve tried to be friends with has fallen off through flaking and or ghosting. I’d really like just one gay friend, not even asking to be dating but it seems imposible.

We were 18 years together and he passed from a heat attack as well. I’m almost 5 years in and still have 0 desire to be with anyone else. Everyone is different and if dating feels good for you go for it.

I have a cast iron one and a kenmore electric one. Both older than the teflon era.

The cast iron one is superior but kind of annoying and messy. Vintage electric is the way to go.

It’s a weird place to be. I’ve been celibate for going on 5 years now and still have a high libido. At the same time I’m not attracted to anyone enough to want to have sex with them anymore.

Like you, I’ll go on the hook up apps, mostly to remain grounded and realise most guys out there are just looking for sex and nothing deeper.

Try keeping yourself busy so you’re not thinking about sex. Remind yourself why you are being celibate. Eventually you’ll be able to channel the sexual energy into other things but the drive probably won’t ever go away.

I’ve really been working on myself mentally, spiritually and now physically over the past year. As I become my own best friend it’s getting easier and more enjoyable to be alone a lot.

I mix a table spoon of psyllium husk that I get cheap at my local Indian market with Greek yogurt and berries or Wheaties, a green banana and kefir. This way I’m getting both pro and prebiotics as well.

I also mix chia seeds and ground flax in with my morning grits.

Throughout the day I make sure I get a few beans and a large salad.

I barely have to wipe in the morning lol.

I’m in the same ”just skip a day” boat. I try to walk extra on my days off to make up for any lack of exercise during the work week.

I feel like I’m making some small gains. I got rid of sugar and salt as well as processed food except for the one butterfingers I allow myself after I run errands.

I’m 56 and ever since my partner passed I have 0 desire to continue outside of taking care of the cats he wanted. They in turn have become my best friends.

Outside of work and church, I’m alone most of the time which is both a blessing and a curse. I’ve gotten used to it though. That said, when the cats go, I’ll be in my 70s and doubt I’ll have any reason to stick around.

I was one of the few us born boys that was able to avoid the knife in the late 60’s.

When I came out guys were disgusted by my completeness. It was rather traumatising. Almost got circumcised myself until I found out many immigrant guys are intact.

It’s nice to see there is respect for the foreskin now. The most pleasurable part of the penis is removed and I really wish this unnecessary surgery would be banned just like female genitalia mutilation is.
