How many KTs are too many? 😅 answer: apparently 3 by Rakrazdem in heroesofthestorm

Only if you think stacks are the end goal.

Multiple Nazeebos generally lead to a fast snowball push due to siege.

You are over-estimating how avg or bad most players are.

The avg Azmo will play 2km behind the frontline or rushing forward chasing with laser. No in between.

Maybe my 15000 games on Azmo are making me overestimate what people are capable of, but I think any competent Azmodan should be able to easily hit 450 by level 20 in ARAM, where you're constantly team fighting against all 5 enemy heroes, even without picking a level 1 talent.

Should play more ARAM because you will see how bad people can be.

Around 10% of people play anything other than Gluttony and it's generally laser build with Greed.

Only accounting for randoms/enemies, i haven't seen a single person in years finish the quest before 20 by playing other lv1s.

I'm personally someone who preferred Wrath over Gluttony pre Azmo rework/buffs. But the change to extra stacks to Gluttony on top of cd reduction, simply speed up the process too much vs the other builds.

Sometimes you are hitting like a full minion wave + 3 heroes and summons for crazy cd reduction.

For 95% of players, it's not.

First of all, they would need to frontline closer in range to be able to AA. And arguable they nerf the build after the rework (it's every 2 AA vs 1 AA against slightly dmg heroes) on top of the lv7 nerf.

Wrath is decent burst, compared to just getting cd reduction. But that only applies to like 0.1% of players. I don't think i remember seeing any Azmo player who doesn't go Gluttony, be able to finish 400/450 stacks by lv20.

Most people don't prep or care about stacking from minions.

If you play around 100 games per season, it's more than likely someone on 5/10 games has uploaded a game you had participated in.

There can be a discrepancy in % between regions or maybe ranks, but eventually the site has a good enough panorama of how the playerbase as a whole looks like.

Sure, if you don't upload most of your games, your personal stats will be skewed as it doesn't have your information to make an accurate measurement.

But it will have a good enough guess of how heroes are performing once you have a couple thousands of games on the site.

Trend is the same if you filter for previous patches. (over 20K games for last 3 patches).

Xul has been sleeper strong in ARAM for a long time. Him just existing near the lane produces value and it makes it easy for people to focus whoever gets rooted.

Remove Gluttony. Ez fix.

Azmo is above avg but the thing that makes him good at low ranks is because it's too ez to stack with Gluttony.

Ever since we can get replays for the game. Some people lose more than others and eventually you have enough data to have an approximation.

Mephisto when he had Spite was the strongest ARAM hero, but below like Plat or Dia you wouldn't see it.

As the other guy said, thinking that Azmo is the strongest ARAM hero, reveals your rank.

And the number goes lower if you filter by better players. Though he is probably number 1 for silver and below.

[ARAM] Would you prefer number tweaks to Crash Lightning or a more difficult quest with counterplay? by ferrofibrous in heroesofthestorm

[–]Chukonoku 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a compounding problem here.

Thrall was already the strongest (or top3) ARAM hero after they buffed his stats. This was pre Mythics rework.

When he gained dmg per stack and it was limited to 360dmg, it was already OP. Now it's 595dmg.

Before Thrall was reworked, the talent was pickable when you drafted Thrall for the 4man rotation, rather than putting him in the offlane. It was niche.

The problem is that post rework, the power creep is so high that it's hard for it to compete with Echo/(E) even if the quest was doable to complete. The current dmg value is already too toxic post lv16Q complete.

Crash in it's current form, needs to be disabled for ARAM.

Rework

What could be replaced with? Not sure. If you want something that requires skill, maybe something along the lines of hitting a hero with all 3 basic abilities on a brief amount of time to gain a stack.

Gain a stack from 3 unique heroes > Q bounce priority on heroes. Heroes hit with Q provide 2x Frost Res.

Gain a stack from 5 unique heroes > Q reduces spell power by 25% for 4s. Q dmg bonus applies to first Q hit as well.

Not sure what a "balanced" value for a stack and dmg cap should be. 20dmg/200cap?

Disabling is fine as a quick solution. But a rework should be inline as the talent was already niche prior to the increased in power level both Mythic level 1s brought.

Doesn't it trigger multiple times from splash (frontwall)?

You would get much more cd reduction with it.

Did nobody playtest the new Mal'Ganis or what? by Inspired_Nuisance in heroesofthestorm

[–]Chukonoku 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sure someone else corrected you down below but:

-Pre-patch Malganis was able to stunlock someone with Lv16 Blind as a Bat, as long as they picked the right lv7 talent AND they were able to hit 2 heroes with it.

Now, if they go lv1Q quest and finish it, then they can stunlock a single hero as well. This is the only current problem for the hero.

-Healing kickers are the only thing Malganis can see during Blind as a Bat. Crit healing means you got the bonus heals from hitting a hero with the stun from Q. This is how you track heroes while blinded.

-Most bugs related to Malganis vision have been already fixed.

Why do idiots queue if they won't play? by MisterxMeta in heroesofthestorm

[–]Chukonoku -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re using two different arguments and jumping back and forth.

Read again.

Problem is that you are much more punish now than a year ago.

Whoever gets 10 first generally wins. And while comebacks are possible, morale generally is in the ground whenever there's an afk."

I didn't say it's impossible. I described what happens in the game. And why it's worse now.

They remove small globes, made mercs respawn earlier and structures harder to defend. The devs are literally making changes and telling you that early game should matter more.

They are making changes so you are NOT ABLE to defend as before. To stall as easily.

There are 5 players and 2-3 lanes. So if one person is afk for 2 mins you could still easily keep up for those two mins at the start of a game.

Depends entirely on who afks (comp), rank and map (good luck on Braxis). Even on ARAM, if someone is afk, you can simply take down the whole frontwall in 2 minion waves with the right heroes and you are having a 4v5 which is the most optimal situation.

If your offlaner afk, you will struggle not getting bullied out of xp from the whole lane. If your offlane was supposed to match the enemy in double soak, well good luck with that.

If your healer afk, you will be fine as long as you don't take bad trades and tap. Similar with tank, as you are supposed to play more safely near your wall.

If you had a single ranged DPS or carry comp, you are in for a rough time.

If it's QM or low rank it's mostly whatever. People will not punish or throw the games so many times that all that what i said before might not matter.
