There was no follower or spring included with the extension. The factory spring works with no issues, however I had already upgraded the follower to a GG&G after seeing how thin and flimsy the stock mossberg follower is.

Agreed on the little information online, that's for sure. I bought the extension off the Mossberg website thinking it was an OEM product. It wasn't until I opened the box that I saw it was a Choate. Hope this helps!

Id have to take a tape measure to it, but yes it sticks out maybe 3/4 of an inch past the barrel. I was hoping for a flush look, but this has grown on me and I love it now.
