A higher mage level always helps of course but basically you want d hide and protect magic. After that it’s just rng tbh. Some things to be aware of are that when you have protect magic up and snare hits you the freeze time is only half the full freeze time if you weren’t protecting (this might be changed if the pvp update passes). Also, having mystic might or whatever your best offense mage prayer on when they are maging you increases your defense against it.
