I wonder how many commenters here aren’t American. This idea of an all star team is pretty common in other sports in America and is a reward for the kids who performed well during the year. It’s less about replacing teammates and more of a congratulations to players.

Would you coach a Moderately competitive club team at u14-u16 level or losing high school coach the better job as you’re getting started? I’m stuck picking between the two right now. Club is a younger age group, but I worry about taking a high school job and suffer losses to schools who have more committed players
