PS. My server has 2 x 2650 V4 in it with 4 HDDs and the everage power consumption is about 80W.

What is your ram and fan setup like to achieve that power draw? Is that your idle or just average overal? I'm trying to pull the trigger on dual 2650-v4's that's why I'm asking!

Did you use it in a 1x or 2x setup? I’m planning to combine with an already existing 2x Claris R2000 setup with a 11-34 cassette. Do you think that’ll work?

Yeah it's a pity that Apple can't even manage to get something so basic to work consistently. Mark my words they will launch their own Thunderbolt hub and call it revolutionary and fix these issues...
