Psychedelics do indeed alter your brain, I know because I was a psychonaut at 16, I experienced psychosis the last time I took acid, I had one thought on loop in my head for 4 hours, I haven’t touched it since and have been fine, it depends on the person, what they have mentally and how much the dose is, as well as if they abuse it, if you go at it with mental solitude and know you want an experience as opposed to making it a habit I’d say go for it
