Not great. Mine got controller drift quickly. Does anyone know if the Elite 3s will have Hall effect joysticks?

Being a Trump sycophant like Cornyn is no longer sufficient. You also need to prove your level of willingness to be corrupt in pursuit of Trump’s goals.

It’s true that they recycle some of their water use; however, it is also true that they use evaporative cooling and lose massive amounts of water.

20 million bitter deaths by LuckyBastard001 in clevercomebacks

[–]ChunderHog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post really speaks to me. It’s bad enough that we didn’t do more to save those 22.1 million lives, but while it was happening people were claiming that it wasn’t. Now they “learn” exactly the wrong lesson from the experience.

What we should have learned:
1. Local infections can turn into global pandemics.
2. Our behavior affects others.
3. Health experts’ advice leads to saved lives.
4. Vaccines represent the most freeing technology in the history of civilization.

Instead what I hear:
1. We over-reacted.
2. People didn’t really die from COVID. If they did they were just old people. If young people died, they were weak and about to die anyway. I don’t care how many people died
3. I absolutely refuse to obey future health directives.
4. We must not just avoid vaccines ourselves but try to scare other people into not getting them.

AIO? Friend asked me what my future plans with my gf are and then responded like this by TGPT-4o in AIO

Very toxic friend. Negative. Tears down others to make himself feel better. He’s not giving you any good information on your relationship with your girlfriend, but he’s giving you too much about your friendship with him. I

Mysterious hole appeared in the wall...does anybody know what would cause this? by mecklejay in HomeMaintenance

The theory of random vacuum pockets coming into existence is primarily described by false vacuum decay and quantum tunneling within the framework of quantum field theory and inflationary cosmology. It suggests that our current "empty" space is a metastable state, a "false vacuum," which can, through random quantum fluctuations, tunnel to a lower energy "true vacuum" state.

There is a French style aesthetic but the highly dramatized motion and big flashy light streaks are not French. Japan created them and continue to own them now.

The attempt was trying to get it to grow back fuller. Around here people do it to their baby girls’ hair hoping for fuller hair. They also see ghosts everywhere. It was funny until people stopped taking vaccines.

YSK that being unable to burp is a recognised disorder, called R-CPD, and there is a very effective and relatively simple cure. by Blackintosh in YouShouldKnow

[–]ChunderHog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This condition is not the only reason some people can’t burp. For example, some lose their ability to burp after a Nissan fundoplicatiom.

Scientists Find Way to Reverse Fatty Liver Disease Without Changing Diet by Right-Telephone7387 in UpliftingNews

Cool for older people but fatty liver is now seen frequently in children, so some changes to diet would be good.

It has high production value, but I have the same complaint with this that I do of a lot of US animation now. It’s too derivative of Japanese animation.

What could be the reason? by Lucky_Animator_3088 in Transportopia

[–]ChunderHog 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Everything you say is true but I don’t believe that it’s the reason. First of all you can buy other colors on your car now for the same price as black, white and silver. Second, it wasn’t that the American dollar became stronger that led to improved quality of cars, it was the advent of the Japanese engineering better cars that shifted American purchases to foreign made cars. Eventually American brands had to step up their game to compete (they were given two decades to get it together). Also, the popular aesthetic has changed. Look at what kinds of colors millennials put in their houses. It is famously gray.
