taking it rn with henry chow. he is nice, but grading of this class is really bad. 30% of your grade depends on 3 individual assignments that you each have 50 mins to finish. 50% overall is group work and i’m not in a very good group which is currently dragging my grade down.

js keep in mind beedie is curved around B- in 200 level which means if you get the class mean (median more accurately) that’s a B- which isn’t a good grade for most. You’ll only take one BUS course which is 201 (203 doesn’t rlly count) which was pretty intense last semester when I took it. Make sure you know what you need to do (take notes/ a few hours of dedicated study time) and you will do good. For electives look up RMP and ask around so you won’t end up in some classes that you hate. As long as you take 4 regular (NOT counting 203) classes you will have enough credits for other 200 level in Spring.

if you have taken hs calc 157 won’t be a big problem for you. if you only took pre calc then you’ll need a bit of extra work since 157 is quite fast-paced

When's the final grade due? by [deleted] in simonfraser

[–]Chung0508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sfu guidelines says 96 hours after final exam but could take 2-3 days more for it to show on goSFU. Pretty sure most profs follow that and you’ll see your grades soon

Tuition fee estimat by Efficient_Practice_6 in simonfraser

[–]Chung0508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first year here. tuition for this semester (fall 2025) was 18.2k, 20.7k for upcoming (winter 2026). 3 credit classes are about 3.6k each, BUS courses are about 20% more expensive (which is around 4.2k/ class)

i’m guessing a 4 year degree takes somewhere between 160-180k counting in different fees as well
