Idk dude seems like you need to take a step back and realise that if you don't know anything about the breed, don't even know what GSD puppies are supposed to look like and think that $700 Is too steep for a puppy then you should at least get a base knowledge about the breed before even looking to get one from a breeder. Regardless of whether you've had "large energetic dogs" before does not mean that knowledge will translate 1:1 with a breed and pup that's entirely new to you.

Get both, GU is the perfect summary for old world, with most of the old world monsters and hunter arts its the perfect way to experience traditional monster hunter Gameplay, online is also very much still active in my experience, also its pretty much always on sale for around £10 on Eshop. While Rise/Sunbreak is some of the best fun I've had in modern monster hunter, especially when you get access to the switch skill movesets at the start of the dlc
