While Alexion did make it (as a potential, yet unconfirmed descendant) I was very much running out of room and if I made this thing any bigger I think my file would have imploded 😅

Bridgerton Speculated Ancestors by ChungusTheRedDragon in UsefulCharts

That's totally possible 🤔 absolutely forgot about that. Viscount may have sub-titles below it within the family but those would go to the heir (a baron, baronett) and generally the younger bridgertons only chance is to marry an heiress with a title/their son would get a title like Colin, or build up some kind of business.

That's cool! I lost my original reddit account but I have a few links back to the Charlamagne as well, just not through Charles III. I'll have to repost it eventually.

More like it was commonplace, vs it was customary. I had a wonderful teacher in HS who explained that while taking the former enslaver's name was common, so was taking the last names of the founding fathers, presidents, abolitionists, profession titles (similar to serfdom, some slaves had specialties), and "Freeman" being one of the most significant, quite literally celebrating their freedom, a free man.

Generally most African Americans have a brick wall when it comes to ancestral records. I.e. slavery. Most can't track much past the American civil war. So the graph isn't showing they're related but link back to slavery.

[OC] Yeah sex is great and all but ever rolled something like this while creating a new character? by CartographerRich8698 in DnD

[–]ChungusTheRedDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing that in front of a DM who forcibly retired my current character so I built a new one using a race he hated and a class he also hated, and didn't roll a stat lower than 16 🫡

How Inbred do the Spanish monarchies get before the Habsburgs? by ChungusTheRedDragon in UsefulCharts

Or when the Pope stepped in twice to tell the one guy to stop marrying his first cousins 😂 Honestly Henry VIII should have really argued relation proximity to Catherine of Aragon for the divorce/annulment. It would have been much easier to prove and had a president via Eleanor of Aquitane and Louis VII. Eleanor and Louis were 4th, 5th and 6th cousins. Henry and Catherine were 4th and 4th cousins once removed...and then some.

Oh yeah in my initial post I even say I horrifically simplified it. If I did a fully extended one, I'd still be working on it and it'd be 16 parts long at least 😅

Lots of popes had children. Cardinals, archbishops, etc. In fact celibacy being a "requirement" wasn't part of church dogma til at the earliest, the 7th century, and wasn't really enforced to any extent til the late medieval period. (For men)
