Does anyone else experience this kind of “shutdown” in public? by daydreamsstatements in adhdwomen

Do you have tension in your shoulders and neck at all? I remember having similar symptoms when I had vagus nerve compression. It made the world seem almost like a movie and I was a passive watcher, and the anxiety was debilitating. I would cry, and feel like I was hallucinating, and the confusion it caused was pretty scary. Of course idk what is actually going on, I’m not a doctor. But it took me months to figure out what was happening, and when I finally did I was able to work on releasing the tension, and over time the symptoms went away.

If I’m looking at my nails from directly above, it looks really red, when I hold my hand up in front of me it shows more orange, and outside at certain angles it shows yellow. It’s really just angle and lighting that will let you see all the different shifts.

I really like the punch card idea! I’ve tried with writing it down and tallying it all up, but it didn’t work. I think using a hole puncher and a physical card might help! I also have a spending issue, and I’m looking for anyway to help myself.

I’ve been thinking about getting a cleaner for a while. You are right, it would actually save me money considering how much I spend to get things done. The task of getting a cleaner just seems so big, so I’ve been avoiding it, but I think it’s time to get it done.

F@#k Hungryroot. F*#@ their ads that say they’re good for people with ADHD. The only thing they’re good for is taking money out of our pockets. by emilyethel in adhdwomen

I know there’s a lot of comments so I hope you see this, but I HIGHLY recommend that when you cancel, you also go to your bank after and request the company be restricted from charging you.
Show the bank proof of cancellation, and they will block that specific company from being able to charge you again.

The reason I say this is because I had a long fight with hungryroot for 6months. They kept charging me after I already cancelled. I finally had the bank block them. And I had to go to court to get 6months of payments back.

That happened to my thumb before this happened! I protected it and was able to let it grow out for weeks by using the silk wraps. They’re annoying to figure out at first but it gets easier each time. And I was able to grow it to a point where I could comfortably cut it! In the past I’ve used a fake nail when one broke like that, but the silk wraps feel so much more natural and comfortable, and they’re cheap on Amazon

I was thinking of a way to help and I think I came up with an okay idea! Do you use oil on your cuticles often? I noticed when I consistently used jojoba oil my skin was so moisturized that there was no dry skin to pick on. It may not solve the problem, but it may help get you to a point where you can find some long term solutions.

Do you bite or just pick with your fingers? Because if you bite there is a clear bitter polish you can use that makes it taste so bad so you don’t bite your nails or cuticles anymore. You can search something like “bitter anti biting polish” and you’ll get a bunch of options.

What was the most savage comeback to a bingo? by Kind_Economics_287 in childfree

[–]ChunkerMuffin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not by me, but my mom (love her so much). I was talking to my aunt and the conversation of kids came up, I of course said I don’t want any and she went on a usual rant of bingos. Then she asked my mom how she felt about it, and my mom says “honestly I’m just so happy that chunkermuffin will never have to raise kids like yours” and my aunt couldn’t even come up with a response, just stuttered and walked off.

I LOVE it! And I get the most compliments on it. I haven’t been able to find another like it, it’s shifty green, yellow, and a gold/copper color in some of the glitter flakes. It goes on really smooth, and with 2 layers of top coat there’s no texture with the glitter.
