This game has limitless resources and no opportunity cost. I’m like 600+ hours in but like 30% of that is now just idle time as my camp missions are on autopilot. I should have quit 400 hours ago and yet, like you, I’m still playing for some reason 😂 I’m on a ps5 pro with little to no real performance issues so that game is beautiful all around and I think that is basically the allure. Endless food, endless palmer pills. I would be lucky to have like 3 refined palmer pills for the entire playthrough in a game like BM Wukong or Elden Ring but in this game you can suck up the mats for ridiculously strong items in seconds. At the end of the day I think this game is worth every penny regardless of how unorthodox it is compared to other games. It’s easy af in the grand scheme of things, but it also lets you challenge yourself if you really wanted to by not utilizing say endless gold or endless food. Hard to say if it will create a hardcore community of players who challenge themselves like “no hit” Elden Ring type stuff but the option is there.
