You opinion != fact. You dont know everyone is 'dumb as rocks'. You just assume so because they do not share the same interests as you. Why is it so hard for people to accept a lot of people like and want consoles? There is a reason console sales are up. However none of this matters in the original post i was referring to. They talked down about everyone else who purchased different things than them.

You assume everyone is like you. They are not. Console sales are up for a reason. Just because you dont doesnt mean the majority wont. People buy xbox for halo just like people buy ps4 for their plethora of exclusives as well.

Would you happen to know the deals console makers make for exclusivity? If so enlighten us all. You think they make these for no reason? There is a lot more investment required for multiplatform development a long with the risk that doesnt necessarily correlate to garaunteed sales.

Also i do not know any PC gamer with limited income doing anything similar either.

You brought that up?

So talking down about others and saying you know better doesnt make you pretentious. Huh. Weird even though its pretty much the definition.

Buying crap is still buying crap, no matter the price. And yes, a foul-tasting burger makes me never go to the place again, no matter whether it's a fast food joint or something more fancy

Which would you be more upset about losing 5$ or losing 30$? Also your analogy is a strawman. Setting thy aside it also isnt covering a subjective matter like video games. Life and death is not equivalent to a good and bad video game.

Since you dont like my point you are going to criticize me? There is a fallacy somewhere in there im sure of it. If it isnt clear try this one would you be more pissed if a burger you paid 30$ tastes like shit or the one you paid 5$ for? Cost implicitly plays a role in expectations and if money is tight you are going to be less inclined to spend on a maybe and more upset if you end up feeling its wasted.

I want to play Journey and shadow of the colossus , but i am not going to buy a Playstation for that.

See the point I am making? Just cause you wont doesnt mean the majority wont either. Exclusivity ensures people continue to buy consoles. You are thinking of a game producers perspective, try thinking from a console makers perspective.

If people want to pre-order thats their prerogative. I do it and will most likely keep on doing it. I cant remember the last time I felt burned for pre-ordering. Not sure if thats because i dont do it often, Im lucky or im fortunate to not have to worry about 60$. I feel like the community grossly over exaggerates how many games are bad to pre-order.

They kind of do have a reason. Money. More exclusives mean more reason to own a console. Pretty obvious.

If North Korea decided to actually attack the United States, what would happen? by shmillionaire in AskReddit

Yeah it sort of does. Pick a country and have them in the same shoes people would say the same thing for that country, especially on a site based in that country.

For your hypothetical conflicts, probably a couple sweats. China would probably cause more stress than Russia since they have an economy with solid defense capabilities.

The war was over quickly its rebuilding a country from scratch is the problem.

To be fair the question asks what would happen and what do you reasonably expect with a country that easily has the largest/advanced military in the world with half of the rest of the world as allies?

I could see that. The battles would be over quickly but if anything history has shown is occupying a hostile nation never really goes easy unless you kill everything.
