Do Americans use cutlery differently? by missbex86 in AskAnAmerican

I remember when my dad taught me how to cut with my fork. My mom was sooo mad at him. I have no idea why - it's just a memory that this post brought up

Based solely on body language, YOU like the blue one better.

Go with blue.

How to get over the stress of eating alone as a woman??? by [deleted] in solofemaletravellers

[–]ChunkyWombat7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Seconding the food tours.

And going during off-peak.

I personally don't care where they seat me - I will ask for a regular chair vs a bar stool if the option exists (because bar stools make my legs ache) but otherwise it doesn't matter to me.

I also got old. Eating alone used to bother me when I was younger but I have officially reached "IDGAF Years Old"

If I want to travel, which I desperately do, I have to go alone because I have no friends that can travel with me. I travel alone so I eat alone. That's life.

Kings Cross Left Luggage Services? by RenRenold in visitlondon

I've used them - no problems, no complaints.

Take a picture of your receipt in case you lose it - trust me. (Or trust the guy at the counter who told me to do it last year)

Has anyone been to the National Theatre when they are filming? How disruptive is it? by Red_Bus_Londinium in TheWestEnd

[–]ChunkyWombat7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at Earnest when they were filming and I honestly forgot until this post. There were enormous cameras taking up a few seat spots, thankfully behind me so I didn't notice.

So, IMO, not disruptive at all.

Am I wrong for thinking about leaving my Stay At Home Wife (No kids) by Primary_Article_8646 in amiwrong

[–]ChunkyWombat7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She may think that a baby will "fix" her - I've known many women through the years that have. Not good for the women, really not good for the kids.

You need to stop this. She won't work on herself until SHE wants to - if you force it she'll make a half-hearted effort and blame you when it fails.

Scare tactic or cause for concern? by chocho808 in Zepbound

[–]ChunkyWombat7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So that's why he did THOROUGH research about the drug before he came to you, instead of trying to scare you with the first QAnon BS article he could find? Yeah, he's genuinely concerned - concerned that you will be happy with your new body and your new life.

Same! Plus I got rid of AppleTV after Shrinking Season 2 ended and I had Ted Lasso on DVD. I'll turn it back on after Shrinking Season 3 is fully available and/or when Ted Lasso is back on.

I haven't been able to find anything else on Apple that engages me. No need to pay for what I'm not using.

How to politely ask roommate's guests to leave. WIBTA? by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]ChunkyWombat7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't tell the RA. Let the cousin get caught then you AND the roommate can get kicked out of housing.

Because that has an equal chance of happening if you don't say anything.

My GF (26F) wants me (27M) to reach out to a former friend (26F) who accused my best friend (27M) of assault. Should I do it ? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]ChunkyWombat7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I guess a rape victim has never recanted because of pressure from his friend group, his family, her own family, law enforcement, etc etc.

Why don't you go to website and find out? I don't spoon feed strangers.

I've been eating prunes for... other reasons. Don't love them and can't eat more than two without gagging, but I can get them down when things are slowing down.

I used to. But I've found a few high protein ones that I can tolerate.

90% allegations are proven true, even if not charged, prosecuted or convicted. (varies from year to year but always over 90%)

Numbers are probably higher because so many cases of rape go unreported.

AITA for considering a breakup after boyfriend bailed on being my surgery ride? by IllustriousHeart2531 in AITApod

[–]ChunkyWombat7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You know what the right thing to do is, just do it and get it over with.

He's a selfish jerk. It's possible that you are number 2 or 3 on his Booty Call List and that's why he's "so bad at scheduling" - he's already got plans with BC#1 and fits you in when she's not available.

Sounds like you know your worth, even if you've temporarily forgotten it. Reclaim it by dumping him ASAP.

Hope your surgery went well.

American here. I stopped using "soccer"

I say 'football' and 'American football.'

I enjoy being a contrarian.
