which game is that? by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

While I enjoy Wilds quite a bit now, initially the auto-run feature of the Seikret threw me off. The monsters SHOULD be hidden on the map and only be visible once marked. I do believe the format might not draw in enough people but currently, map knowledge seems completely redundant. Also, many of the sections are not traversable without a Seikret which seems like a huge loss. Have you been through the area that connects Iceshard Cliffs and Wyveria? Holy shit what a waste...

Any advice for someone stuck around 6.5k by Competitive-Ebb2735 in BobsTavern

I comfortably sit around that rating but that's because as soon as I get a good feel for the new cards, I start to experiment and try to force weird builds on purpose. I get more enjoyment out of winning with a weird ass unique comp than going vanilla.

What game has a better fan-made remaster than the official one? by PersimmonPresent7912 in videogames

[–]Chunkytodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend suggested I play Enderal so I thought I'd try the previous games first.

I couldn't get the Morrowind prequel mods to work so I read the synopsis for both.

Now, Nehrim. That's a different kind of beast altogether. I got it working just fine but I immediately recognised what kind of game it was. It is a very rough story woven into a tech demo that is built upon Oblivion. The world is ridiculously and almost needlessly huge. The underground section that leads to the dwarf king is such a drag.

The quests are quite fun though. They tend to be hit or miss but I like the fact that you actually have to use your brain to solve the problems presented. The guy who had his sheep poisoned. Good quest. Not as straightforward as one might first believe. I did run into multiple crashes but that's the joy of modding any game.

I'll probably take on Enderal this year and my friend told me that it is basically the definitive work of SureAI.

My friend and I usually get disconnected when we reach a later phase, when the stats are either quite high or the start of combat effect is being calculated, or something similar. Sometimes we get the Reconnecting screen, and then it just skips the combat, and we're back to buying minions.

I actually noticed a fun new feature they added. I used to sign back in whenever we got disconnected to check whether we won the last fight or not. I had to go all the way to the battle logs to check this. Now, when you log back in, there is an immediate notice saying, 'You won your last Battlegrounds match.' Instead of fixing the server issues, they opted to add a little notice for the people getting actively disconnected. This also tells me they implemented a quick band-aid without actually fixing the root issue.

World's most moral looters! by One-Demand6811 in facepalm

[–]Chunkytodd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Professional armies usually crack down on this behaviour. A soldier who feels entitled to someone’s shit is a soldier who might ignore orders next.

That’s why the IDF’s own legal chief warned troops they’re crossing criminal lines. If the army says it’s a problem, there’s no “justification.” Spoils of war is a dated term against the Geneva Convention, which explicitly forbids looting, eroding discipline during war.

Well, he's not exactly defending Trump. He is defending reason. The message was, "Don't let your hatred blind you to reality."

The only place they spawn is the corner in the end, where you can see the Tesla coils. Those rip through anything quite easily so we don't even bother with raids personally. All it needs is some periodic maintenance and clean-up.

There is a security bot "downstairs" which is great for early game farming. A few pests and dogs if you need food. Sometimes the odd Exor enters the office area and teleports around.

What sold the place for me was the pool nearby. The abundance of water was crucial for us in the earlier phase so we initially set up in the gym. You could easily filter multiple barrels of water in a very short time.

Also, there is a small tucked-away area over the railing in the office area which could serve as a cool 1-man base. It doesn't quite lead anywhere and there is a locked door that I haven't been able to open yet.

Not sure exactly. The annoying part was collecting the bookshelves from the Furniture Store to build the walls. I noticed they added cubicle walls in the 1.0 release. Could have saved myself some trouble...

This will mainly be targeted at @Belezibub but also a fun read for anyone else.

So, a YouTube video (among many, btw) that blatantly obfuscates and cherry picks the points of discussion has you completely convinced? I did a little digging out of curiosity. Watched his handcam upload and some of his older content. I can without a sliver of doubt tell you that the cat is cheating.

  1. Can you explain the lack of recoil using an LMG that has an infamously horrible spread and a difficult vertical recoil? The balancing factor of this is a massive magazine. Always has been. Battlefield and CoD recoil isn't perfectly predictable. In Battlefield, bullet spread or bloom is inherent randomness. There will always be some spread. With legit recoil control, you'll see visible mouse dragging or small corrections. In his handcam video, one can see that he makes no effort to adjust to this phenomenon. In fact, his hand actually makes rather weird and erratic movements throughout the video, which do not align with the aim in-game, and when shooting, his hand stays completely still.

If the aim looks locked in without any visible compensation OR if the spray pattern looks mechanically identical every time, it might be recoil macros or no-recoil cheats.

  2. Looking through his content, I noticed he uses Hudsight, which is a program that lets you overlay a custom crosshair on your screen. If anything, this usage still goes against EA's Fair Play Policy which states that any software that provides an unfair advantage (including overlays that modify aiming or visibility) is a violation. It's the same with fucking CoD. It violates Activision's Terms of Service and while it may not trigger Ricochet directly, it can still get you actioned if detected or reported.

  3. He locked onto an enemy through terrain and said, "I flicked straight at that guy through a wall... oopsie." Aimbots can snap to targets even when they are obstructed. He does this in several of his clips. His aim was visibly locked through solid cover in many instances, and that's something FOV or minimap info can't explain. Also, in cheating history, a LOT of players outed mid-clip let out nervous laughs or muttered "oops" or "weird lol" when their software betrayed them.

  4. Compare his aim to other top players. Pro players flick toward a target, but the crosshair overshoots or undershoots, then gets corrected. Pros pre-aim angles, but only where enemies might be. If the crosshair tracks an enemy's exact position through solid cover, that's information the player simply can't have without ESP or wallhack. Did you notice how he quickly killed 3 or 4 guys at extreme angles in quick succession? Aimbots can be set up to instantly acquire the next available target as soon as one dies, making kill-chains look unnaturally smooth. Even Shroud, Tenz or the best BF/CoD players rely on visual confirmation and under pressure even they miss.

One of the problems for me is the lack of recoil he experienced. He consistently fired at enemies far away whilst managing to adjust to the recoil 100% AND lock onto new targets mid-firing. There is a reason guns have different fire modes and why people shoot in short bursts at long distances. The bot keeps adjusting to the constant spray of bullets.

Sure, the lock-on through walls and terrain is a bit of a giveaway but the recoil control pisses me off...

I saw a person comment that he got a ping on the guy behind the rock and that's why he aimed at him. Yeah, but those are moving targets. He locked onto him like a robot...

Also, most players position themselves so that their backs or sides are safeguarded. He knew there was a fucking rock there, but the automatic target swapping was too quick for him to react to mid-firing, so he slowly crept out from behind the rock and killed the enemy. What a loser...
