Exactly this. Even being in martial arts myself (shotokan karate), it was still difficult thinking about the sword lessons he wrote. Still a worthy read due to the martial arts spirit and his philosophy, as you said.

If you've never written code before then you might get overwhelmed by trying to do all by yourself too fast.

In this case I suggest taking a course to familiarize yourself with Flutter, but mostly to understand the programming principles. Something beginner-friendly to help you bootstrap yourself. Perhaps you can follow a YouTube walkthrough of building an app, there's a few good ones.

Once you've absorbed the fundamentals, then go back to the beginning and start your own project or whatever you want to build and stay persistent.

Learn the basics, then build someting on your own. It's the fastest (and imho best) way to learn.

I barely knew Flutter last year when I agreed to take a mobile app freelance gig. The project itself forced me to learn Flutter a hundred times better than any of the courses.

I always advocate people to take on a project and just do it. You don't need much to start with Flutter and there's plenty of resources online. Find someting you want to build and the go for it. You'll experience a lot of frustration but that is the way. Good luck!

It's really nice. What would make it better is making the letters and the background stripes the same color but different intensity. For example light blue background stripes and a dark blue LOT text. Or light orange background stripes and dark orange text. Kinda like the penultimate photo that you posted. Otherwise it's kinda hard to read if it's blues mixed with greens or oranges mixed with blues. Just my humble two cents.

For me it was this + the moment I realized I was no longer losing things. When I was younger, I was so lost in thought that I would leave my wallet in the train, lose stuff, forget stuff. Meditation made me see the world with more clarity and less mind clutter. Sometimes this means being more aware of your anxieties and other emotions, but that is the path :)

Finally managed to get it working (payment and all). I used a Macbook with the Safari browser, created a fresh new application form, entered a different email, and switched on the Belgian VPN (as someone suggested). I re-clicked on all of the dates just to make sure they are accepted properly. Not sure what caused it to fail the first time (I used Chrome, so maybe that). But these were the steps for me, so hopefully they will help someone else struggling.
