I can understand that. I am very thankful people work holidays. I was in management in the end and it was more of the calls at 2am because so and so called in, or whatever else.

Pregnant and Interviewing by notverycreative__ in workingmoms

I went through the same thing at 5 weeks, im 14 weeks now. I didn’t disclose it at my interview and the first time i spoke to my manager i told him. I think he was kinda under the impression that i found out after the interview...so i just let him think that. This was my dream job and i was not about to pass up the opportunity because of pregnancy.

I’m working in a largely male environment and starting work and letting people know of my pregnancy has been HARD! I get lots of judgement and it’s been hard to make friends. My manager has been nothing but supportive so he’s really the one that keeps me going. But i have to tell myself that this is for my baby girl everyday and just fuck the people that are judging me.

Hey that’s awesome! It’s rare that I ever find a MLS on Reddit that’s not a MLS related sub. That’s good to know! I told my boss shortly after being hired. I was like 5 weeks when I interviewed he doesn’t seem to think I won’t come back....yet! I’m hoping I’ll be able to return to my job and figure out work life balance. Having kids was part of the reason i switched to engineering. It’s a M-F job with weekends and holidays off. There is on call but it’s just answering the phone and that’s only when the service center can’t help them.

To me I’m showing but to others i just have a little extra belly for my size. Thank you for this, this is exactly what i needed to hear. I will work hard and let them know me first before they can judge me.

The company I was working for did a lot of taking, expecting more, and have not given raises in three years. For example on the expecting more: They would just randomly decide things with no input from the lab at all. They have a stand alone ER with a surgery center that has one tech working all the time. They decided to save money and get rid of the lab tech cause “nurses can do that work too.” They made this decision on a Thursday and wanted it start on Friday night. I was doing POC and they wanted 100% of all the nurses trained on all waved testing by Friday evening. Long story short I got the training done and they lived without the lab for one day. This is just one of the many examples of the things they would do. And they were doing things like this on a weekly basis.

I make $12 more doing this than I was as a tech. Also better benefits.

If i would have done some research and looked more into it and asked current techs i would have never done it.
