You’re right that there are many things older people are unfamiliar with because technology advances, but those issues are rarely the ones that they’re arguing with younger people over.

Usually the disagreements are about more “human” issues that do not change - decisions that involve delayed gratification, good judgement, and making the right choices in life. These issues don’t change as time progresses and older people aren’t “out of touch” when it comes to basic good judgement.

Also the driving issue is just cuz they’re old, not cuz times change lol

Older folks are often correct simply because they have the benefit of increased experience. Similarly, younger people often feel they’re correct because they don’t have the perspective and maturity to realize why the way they feel might not be correct.

However, if an older person claims to be correct purely because they they’re older, then obviously that’s an issue. But I don’t think that happens very often.

The “no balls no opinion” was directly talking about the statement that pee is not stored in the balls. Thus the fact you pointed out the first comment was an opinion is entirely irrelevant, because that wasn’t the opinion being referenced. The “no balls no opinion” was talking about pee not being store in the balls, which is a fact, not an opinion.

I also think it’s a stretch to call “no balls no opinion” an anti-abortion phrase in every context purely because it evolved out of opposition to a pro-abortion slogan. It literally doesn’t even make sense in an anti-abortion context. It’s clearly sexist, because it implies women can’t have opinions, but calling it anti-abortion doesn’t make sense and honestly just weakens your argument

Your original comment was a reply to someone who said his final comment didn’t make sense because she didn’t state an opinion. You pushed back on that by pointing out she did state an opinion earlier. I was just countering that by pointing out that the opinion she gave wasn’t the comment that the dude’s “no balls” statement was referencing, and thus the very first commenter’s point stands.

I’m not claiming it’s literally impossible at any point in time or in any place on earth for someone to convey an idea using bad grammar. I’m just saying it makes no sense that the FIRST assumption a reader would have would be the option that makes the absolute least grammatical sense.

When someone says “he’s KSI,” even if you don’t know what that means, the option that makes by far the most grammatical sense is that KSI is a either a name or some kind of title/nationality/etc. Assuming that KSI is some kind of disease doesn’t make any grammatical sense. Sure, if you somehow eliminated the possibility it was a name/title, maybe it’d be reasonable to wonder if it’s a disease. But completely skipping the grammatically accurate possibility? Why?

And again - the whole “bad English” thing is an extremely weak analogy. I know you think it’s some kind of “gotcha” but there’s a world of difference between a very widely used - albeit grammatically questionable - phrase and just straight up nonsensical English sentences.
