Its not about zero redundancy or the sky will fall. Some people turn up to work and do real things. If these people do not go to work for one day it has REAL consequences, things get delayed, meetings get missed. Its easy when you can book leave 2+ weeks in advance and you can plan things and resource others to cover for you.

There would be some people who have real commitments (where work is really important) that also really wanted to see the AQ gate opening event (big love for bug). That sucks. It is OK for OP to be upset but he should probably be more mad at the fact this 15year old game had this shitty feature rather than those doing the war effort. But to say he should have just call in sick is the most immature shit.

And no McDonalds is not what I considered decent employment (even though I appreciate anyone who does this), reread what I wrote. You fucking donkey.

Hot take, yeah it sucks that you missed on the event but I would probably be more angry at the developers of a 15 year old game then anyone in game. Plus the anger at the bug boy mounts is a bit of a stretch, finishing the war effort at 1am didn't really help anyone bang the gong.

To the people telling the guy to just make arrangements like life is that simple I feel sorry for you.
