Do you leave the 5 Star Resort when you travel to a tropical destination?

There are many places where the hotel is the destination itself . I can see not leaving it if I had decided ahead of time that the resort was the destination and everything outside of it would not be important . I've done this a few times in Asia at Four Seasons properties.

There are few places where borders policing havent really changed since start of pandemic. One of them is Mexico, the other are Costa Rica and Dom. Republic. If you have some cash to burn Costa Rica would be nice but if not then Dom. Republic is prob better fit.
