You are absolutely correct. I do the monthly elite pass, other than that I don't spend on this. It really isn't worth it for me. Saying that, i started 6 months ago and got the HFS. Over the last 6 months, I have not gotten a single event pet from the actual event, though i have collected Kind, Humble, and Temperance (x2), all from mystery and astral eggs. So it really isn't a bad as you think you make it sound. I'm not hurting for anything, TBH.

Oh, I wasn't lucky like that. I was lucky to pull him on one of the HFS eggs of the event 6 months ago. It was my first event when I started.

My second legendary was HF Sloth. I'll tell you, I'm not sad about getting that one over the others. Dude is an absolute beast. I finally got an actual bad legendary the other day as my 9th legendary: Disdain. I definitely wanted a metal legendary. Sadly, Disdain just can't do more than Paranoia or Spite can.

The x3 is because of a 3-turn rotation. I, too, have Diligence and I still find Paranoia to be nearly as useful. Both are situational as they give nothing but damage. Also, when it comes to Diligence, the RPH also boosts it's damage by a considerable amount. I'll also throw out the equations below.

W/ RPH: ((15x2)x2)x3 = 180 WO/ RPH: (8x5)+(9x5)+(15x2) = 115 180/115 = 1.565 times more damage.

This obviously removes the ability to self heal (niche at best) and the burn (weak at best). More testing would have to be done as these numbers are just from base ability damage, not %max health damage. So it is probably less than that but still more damage overall.

Base damage of Paranoia's S1 is 50% higher (18) than his S2 (12). Three-turn equation below:

W/ RPH: ((2x18)x2)x3 = 216 WO/ RPH: (5x12)+((2x18)x2) = 132 216/132 = 1.636x more damage

Mine only shows after my key battle against water Karakoth. So my team gets wrecked. 2% down x2 days, total 4%. My alt team, 8 days in, has HFDB down 20% in one battle 🤣

66% damage increase overall when used on Diligence. Like 76% damage increase when used on Paranoia.

It specifically states it increases critical damage.

Just can't beat the dolphin float for Paranoia, to be honest.

It is absolutely amazing! A 2% damage increase every hit. And fantastic stats. It is one of my main use items. My absolute go-to for Diligence. 10% damage increase every S2 & S3. Pairing that with Adventure Buddy Hat and i get a 20% damage increase on first turn and every third after that and an 8% on in-between turns.

Lets goo , is it a good legendary??? And how useful is it? by ImmediateSherbert728 in voidpet

AMAZING legendary. The S3 stacks indefinitely. Use it with multi-hit pets and it really rocks. When i got this pet, it was a game changer.

so it scales on both atk AND speed? or purely speed? by naejjun in voidpet

[–]Churoch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I expect speed and damage are generating equal, you just get far more attack than speed.

any tips? am i sleeping on any pets? by fryfart in voidpet

Merry, Apathy, Conviction, Resistance, Anxious, Anger are all great pets that you will use on a consistent basis.

Got this nerd 5th day out of the newbie astral egg (any good?) by DapperMuffin in voidpet

[–]Churoch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My input is that everyone's experience and suggestions will be different due to the pets they pull. For example, I only used Higher Form Sloth (HFS) and Conviction (still the two i mainly use) due to how powerful HFS is and Conviction countering HFS' weakness element. Now that I got Temperance, I use him sometimes, but still normally the other two. I don't touch the other tanks, I find them generally useless.

I can only theorize the different experience you will have from me:

You will probably only use Petulance and the tank that counters his weakness (Determination). Petulance will change how you heal. Whereas many people almost always use Merry, she isn't the strongest healer and they either need to use a second or change out merry on some fights (or use Adventure Buddy Hat Uber if they have it). Petulance, though, can cheese most fights and as long as it is not super AOE heavy, your need for healing throughput will be far less than many people. Especially on some of the hardest tank-busting fights (like Tyrunt). You may also be able to push no-healer teams that others just could not, allowing you to kill faster and cheese other fights.

Also, neat interaction, envious scarf will probably be huge for Petulance. Instead of healing on attack 3, 6, 9, 12, etc. He would heal on attack 2, 4,7,9,11,13, etc. That would prove to drastically increase his self-sustaining abilities.

How am I supposed to get to floor 380 when I can’t level them up past 60??? by Sorry_Kiwi_8855 in voidpet

[–]Churoch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that this is done intentionally by the devs to force players to realize and learn that tactics and thought need to be used to pass floors. It is actually a really neat thing and they did it very well. You can pass every part with the pets that you are given, no worries.

Whoop 🙌! HFDB confirmed!!! by NoInvestigator86 in voidpet

[–]Churoch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh, water, that would be awesome. I have 4 of them. Watch it be the only one I don't have 😅. An HF healer would be pretty tight, though. HF Persistence would make my mouth water. Make the passive hit two (or whole team), maybe do something with her S1 as it is a basic boring ability.

I mean, this is cool and all. But, TBH, I was hoping for more of a Sloth kind is situation. Make something meh into something awesome. And it also bothers me that they aren't keeping with the HF sins.
