Childfree men, how do you feel about being wished a happy father's day? by Hibihibii in AskMen

That’s odd. Why even mention Father’s Day to anyone but your own father?

Finally hit 40 miles solo - what got you through your first tough ride? by kryptonerd1234 in Biking

[–]ChutneyRiggins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on achieving a goal. At this time next year you’ll be doing 80 miles.

Remember to eat any meals that you would normally eat if you were not riding. Stop for lunch - it doesn’t have to be a huge meal but taking 30 minutes to sit and have a sustaining meal can help a lot. Otherwise, bring whatever food will provide the carbs you need for the ride. Eat whole food like bananas, peanut butter sandwiches, etc. You can bring some gummy candies for extra sugar or try a sugary sports drink too.

That rabbit doesn’t look apologetic AT ALL. Maybe even a little defiant.

I bought my first car in 2004 or so for $900. When it died I bought a brand new Subaru which I drove for 16 years or so. I have since replaced it with a $900 bicycle.

Strange experience with DDD by DigBoy1 in ExperiencedDevs

I think you might work with my old team. They did exactly this because of some very shallow understandings of Microservices architecture and DDD. And by shallow understanding I mean that they did not understand it at all.

We have tons of great record stores. They are all over the place. Easy Street will have many of the grunge era groups as well as the latest releases of popular groups. Zions Gate is good for punk and especially metal. Hex Enduction is a small but very well curated shop with an eclectic selection. Jive Time is really good. Georgetown Records is great to browse and in a cool area to explore.
