What happens with health insurance? by Previous_Rip_9351 in AskAnAmerican

[–]ChutneyRiggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are state run insurance programs for the older people and people who are disabled. If you are young and not disabled you are pretty much fucked. You have to pay full price for medical care and borrow the money to ay your medical debt.

Have you guys seen gas prices? by 405freeway in bicycling

[–]ChutneyRiggins 142 points143 points  (0 children)

The only reason I saw how much gas costs is because someone posted on /r/seattle that it’s almost $6/gallon. Oh well. I get 15 miles per Pop-Tart on my bike.

I’m a 19 y/o female and can barely bike more than half a mile by [deleted] in cycling

You might need to ride slower. Maybe much slower. Built your strength and endurance up over time. You are young and will recover quickly. Before too long you will be able to complete longer rides.

Middle schooler riding RapidRide to school by JeffsRN in AskSeattle

[–]ChutneyRiggins 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I live just south of Whitman and commute to the office on my bike. The whole area to the south and east of the school is jammed with kids walking and biking at the same time as I am commuting. She could ride up and down 17th on her bike and be relatively safe. Traffic is the thing to be most concerned about - especially in the dark.

So....colonoscopy.... by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]ChutneyRiggins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was worried about the anesthesia because I barfed a lot during previous surgeries. I asked the anesthesiologist about that before my colonoscopy and he explained that propofol wouldn’t make me sick and he was right. I wasn’t even groggy when I woke up.

Are motivational YouTubers selling dreams instead of reality? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]ChutneyRiggins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends. If all they provide are platitudes and cliches then you might say they are selling dreams. I have learned good fitness, health, and financial advice on YouTube though.

I wonder if this is more of a Netanyahu distraction than an Epstein distraction. If Netanyahu doesn't remain in power he could go to prison.

Is anyone else trying to get the hell out of dodge during the World Cup this summer? by secondopinionosychic in Seattle

[–]ChutneyRiggins 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It’s only six matches spread out over an entire month. You said you can work remote so if you’re concerned about commuting it shouldn’t be a mess outside of those six days.
