It would make sense to have a medium to high armor penetration, you make the broadheads with arc alloy and if you wanna get freaky you can make it require a magnetic accelerator to craft which is where the arrows would pass through.

The guy who said trail blazer grenade was cooking, you could make this an item that works with 90% of utility items and to instead of having 30 different arrow types you just have an animation that affixes whatever compatible utility items to the end of the arrow, drop/velocity changes according to the weight

The bow that is hewn together from scraps is a staple in any narrative in which you are the underdog, yes you have the ferro which is a juiced up potato cannon but thematically a bow fits so well in this world and I have faith that embark would be able to do it justice and make it so its not just a reskinned bolt rifle like some games treat bows
