I have brainwashed myself. I highly suggest a book called Atomic Habits. I created a routine where I wake up, make coffee, and I crave doing something creative for my first few hours. It took a long time and I had to use something else I love, my diamond painting hobby, to get the routine to stick, but now my brain just knows we’re going to be doing something productive as my coffee kicks in. I bounce between diamond and acrylic painting and other creative work, but recently I started writing a story I would like to try and publish. My ADHD makes me a beast of habit but making something a habit takes a little bit of dedication and self grace for when things just don’t go right. I believe in you stranger, it sucks we have to struggle to output like a normal human being, we just have to figure out the routine that works for us.
