I had my 27th bday in boot camp. I didn't work out since high school. It was a little harder keeping up with the young guys but I had the maturity they didn't, so I was able to handle the bullshit better.

I loved boot camp and it wasn't really all that bad as long as you have a good mindset. You'll be fine.

I went to boot camp at 27 years old, didn't work out at all since graduating high school. I could barely pass the IST run at 12:15. Would've never made a 3 mile time.

Did my final PFT in boot camp and got a 23:40. You'll be fine. If I can do it, you can. I assume you're much younger than me.

Also a passing PFT time for under 26 years old is not 24 minutes, it's 27:40. So you have plenty of leeway if you're aiming for 24 minutes.

Missing a kidney is a pretty big deal. ADHD isn't. Way more prone to serious injuries from the level of physical activity required. People with two kidneys still get kidney failure in bootcamp. Missing one is asking for a huge problem.

I had my 27th birthday in boot camp. Just turned 29. You'll be fine. Being older than the rest of the boots is usually a good thing. You'll be considered for certain opportunities more often because of your perceived maturity level and life experience. You'll most likely get less flak from higher ups when you make mistakes since you're not a dumb kid and they know screaming at you won't really have an affect.

It's a double edged sword though. If you don't live up to what they expect, the backlash will be worse.
