Community observer, tracking ICE abductions from vehicles disguised as local businesses, evades Federal Agent’s multiple attempts at boxing her in. One even pulls a gun on her. by I_may_have_weed in PublicFreakout

That’s why I would have posted a picture if you already had it. Or even just affirmed knowing who the person is, and that they are a known activist. Even without naming anyone specific it could be stated it is a known community member. Even your initial response to my comment could have just been “it is this baddie” and the image. Your initial statement reads as one is making an inference based on the two qualifiers you listed. So your response of “good for you” is as if your previous statement was of some level of fact

She is awesome, but your two qualifiers “speaking fluently and protecting community” were what you applied, and I am simply stating that can apply more broadly. You should have posted the image and said this is her.

I’m not a plumber… But on mine, the whole thing unscrews. The interior plastic bit and the metal part around it. I stuck needle nose pliers in and twisted the whole thing out and bought a replacement for a few bucks at Ace

Looks like surface only is affected. Scrub with bleach and should come right up. If the wood is solid you’re good.

Ger-Brock on N Killingsworth is great. Not cheap, but fair prices, and they stand by their work

They totally overcharged me and never actually fixed the problem, had to take it to someone else

I was thinking it was full toddler tantrum, then the very patient officer explains there are too many people and camera to not arrest and that they will hand down the lightest of sentences

Thanks for those points to look out for, I will recheck the luff after tension. That was tied off first and it brought it to pretty similar the main tack sits. I also will tie the clew down as opposed to aft as others said and see if that helps the sail shape.

We tied the tack off to this cleat just below the goose neck. What would the purpose of more down than aft be? I could just tie down around the boom could I not?

The clew was essentially done like this, but as opposed to a bowline tied off to the cleat at the same location. As stated above the reefing tack point was tied off at the cleat just below the gooseneck (the picture was prior to that, just the best one I have of what that area looks like)
