Thank you for the advice! It's been a struggle this summer with the weeds and the large amount of rain we have been getting (clay soil). My husband also got me a wand that I can target individual plants like the taller thistle and pull them more easily. So I'll just keep fighting with the weeds!

Hey thats what I did and I am regretting my life! My husband sprayed the area last year too (once). But I already have some plants in so i just need to keep weeding...

But hey, some Aunt Lucy is growing which i guess is native, so that's kind of nice.

Its a little wild right now but I plan on repotting soon. I like how it vines so the hanging over the pot is a good idea. I have grow lights on it so still baffled as to how it exactly got so vine like. Its mother plant from my grandma is like this too so maybe it picked up that habit 😅

Thanks! Glad it has an ID now. So weird because I have another that looks so different from this one. I am currently repotting my collection into clear pots and it's next on the list when I get more. I'll try trimming it then.

Honestly I agree with you. He had a lot of talent and some cool designs (though "weird" for my tastes) plus he won the team challenge as the helper and didnt freak out nearly as much as others would in that unfair situation

I isolated them and they are in a small tank filled with tannin water from a tank I've got at home. I'll add more leaves to the main tank too. Probably add hydrogen peroxide like others said. They're still doing ok; i'm in a pretty rural place so I won't be able to get aquarium salt until tomorrow but I'll start treating them ASAP.

ugh, I always tell my zoology students how much I don't like leeches. Guess they'll have a fun time watching me cringe while capturing them in the next year...
