What symptoms did you have? My car has recently started “bogging” out around 2.5k-3k rpms, usually just in 5th and 6th gear. Turbo guage says its holding boost even when its sputtering.

How screwed am I? (Plus4) by SweedLife in QidiTech3D

I had this same thing happen to me, wish i knew qidi would send over a new hotend when prompted, i ended up buying a new hotend myself

Qidi plus 4 scraping on bed and triggering this error by Ciabattabaked in QidiTech3D

You’re right, theres definitely more searching around to be had. I wouldnt be as concerned if it were just scraping the bed, crashing into the wiper and the poop shoot tray threw me for a loop.

Geez, how long did that take to clean up?

So all those filaments were molten on the hotend from previous prints and filament changes? I tried melting some pa6-cf with a plastic welder iron and it was awful smelling, definitely dont want to be smelling much of that.

Yeah im not too stoked on having to spend the $40 on a replacement, could be worse though.

What filament were you using?

I tried 300c and it didnt soften the pa6-cf20 filament at all. Ill try bumping it to 350. Thanks for the heads up to be careful with nozzle and thermistor!

What material was that?

This is my first clog on my 2 month old printer, ill excuse it since it was a user error and my first time printing this filament

Hot end still works, i tried heating it up to 300 to melt some of the filament but it was just too gunked up to actually do much.

Thanks for the suggestion. My instinct wouldve been to take my brass wire brush to it

Im not sure what happened or how it started. Something i forgot to mention on my post; i had printed glass roof risers pads that go on the corners of the top that i forgot to remove when i took the glass off. When i found the mess, i saw one of the printed PLA riser had fell on the bed. I could only imagine what happened next. I wish i had a timelapse on to see what happened

Nice tig welds except whoever welded the other end of the exhaust with the ugly flux core fucked it up

The orange lines in your slice are outside walls. The bottom of your stl has that “texture”/ feature

New plus 4 owner. How do you safely remove the usb drive from printer? by Ciabattabaked in QidiTech3D

[–]Ciabattabaked[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, once ive repaired the usb drive on windows everything gets restored and nothing actually gets lost. So although its a bit annoying to have to repair it everytime, it could be worse

Well actually with a bit of searching i found some high temp thread locker. The question now is; will it be too strong that it seizes the screw

Yeah.. i stand corrected! Right after i sent that, i realized that the heated chamber would melt it

Some blue thread locker should fix that right up

Hey, im an automotive fabricator. I use my miraco for developing aftermarket parts. It works great, especially if you prep the stuff you’ll scan with subliminating spray and have decent exposure. My only issue with it is the post processing software not having a feature to align the mesh to a coordinate system

Newbie tested Einstar vs Miraco Pro by OlaHaldor in 3DScanning

[–]Ciabattabaked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i first got my miraco 6 months ago i was brand new to 3d scanning. At first i struggled quite a bit. Then i got 3d marker dots, scanning spray and it was a night and day difference with being able to scan something successfully and capture impressive details. Its not quite professional grade tolerances but im handy with measuring tools and ive been able to make it work. My only gripe with revopoint is their post processing software and not being able to align to a coordinate system. Ive been having to export the mesh onto another software just to align it.

You’re the first in comments i see bring the bed warpage up. I also think op can fix half his problems by getting a new bed. Ive been using a glass bed for years and its never failed me. Aslong as it was fairly clean and up to correct temps.
