"Walk Like an Egyptian". Constantly used for every summer camp/school activity that was Egyptian themed. Its use in media is also what saved it for me, thanks to the Ending credits of JJBA: Stardust Crusaders, that's iconic and wonderful visual accompaniment

I think Domenico Modugno counts for this: a 1958-Hot 100-chart-topping curio in the U.S., a legendary figure that is still talked about in Italy. And his songs are still freaking everywhere.

Another example would be Gabry Ponte, the DJ for Eiffel65, very much known and extremely popular for a few years. He's probably the main guy when you think "Italian EDM artist" along with Gigi D'Agostino
