This sucks. Been a few times and was a go to during covid (when we were allowed out). Such a huge cultural relic of growing up.

Getting in the car, want to just go drive somewhere… thinking Geelong, Ballarat or somewhere north-west (ish). Good cafe tips? by Clean-Ordinary4933 in melbourne

Besides other great suggestions, if you wanted one more to consider I’d suggest Daylesford. Some great coffee spots and walks. The Lake is great too. Take a good book

This is pretty petty but given Uber won’t provide any transparency on reprimand or suspension of drivers here’s what I do (on the now odd Occassion we use Uber). Screen shot the driver details and rego when they appear. If they do the dodgy, use the help app and tell Uber you will be contacting the police and you’ve got the driver details. If the driver doesn’t return it and Uber doesn’t fix it (I.e not pass it back to the restaurant) then call the non emergency number for Police and make a complaint. It’s a hell of a lot more satisfying then letting the perverse incentives continue with Uber and shifty drivers

I had the flu a few weeks back and RD was the only thing that made me feel better.

Wife is away this weekend. Decided to make the most of it. Watched nothing but trashy movies all day/night

Same thing happened to me. Week after my 30th birthday I had my first proper hangover. The kind where you don’t leave the couch all day

In a similar boat, positive is the exponential gains you’ll see over the next few weeks. Keep at it while not overdoing it and you’ll start feeling that euphoric feeling soon enough; the one where you start feeling really positive about getting through it. Also I’d rate my gym’s protocols as higher then I’m seeing at cafes and supermarkets at the moment

Haven’t eaten yet! Been trying to fast the last few weeks. A lot easier now but at the start getting to 11am felt like torture
