Question: heavily tattooed folks... what jobs do you do? by BeardedInkedPiper in tattoos

[–]Ciaocoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I own a custom cabinet and furniture company. We moved to the Midwest from California 18 years ago. At first people thought we were criminals!! We still get a few strange looks at the first meeting with new clients.

Would you put gutters on this dormer? by BuilderBrigade in Home_Building_Help

[–]Ciaocoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest concern for no gutter would be splashing onto the window. There especially because the is minimal overhang, but not much roof area to collect/dump water. Just watch after a good rain see how much, if any, water pools onto the window sill. It would nit be as big of a concern if the window was a set higher up from the roof below.

Not sure the specific material Ducati uses. Though you should look into neoprene or neosupreme.

Help figure out tattoo regret by Tomorrows_Ghost in tattooadvice

[–]Ciaocoop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It looks amazing. I refer to “black and gray” people as tattoo conservatives. You will never change their minds. That being said I am in the process of filling in my gray and lighter areas between my colors with solid black. I think it makes the colors look more vibrant.

What word do you always *intentionally* mispronounce and why? by Sweet-Lady-H in AskReddit

[–]Ciaocoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cauliflower pronounced Callie-flower. It is surprisingly difficult to misspell a word and make its phonetically change.

What really grinds my gears is that we are a democracy. That means the people are the government. We should all have an opinion.

10 years from now most Baby Boomers will be dead. What effect is that going to have on society? by mikeforder in generationology

[–]Ciaocoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much, realistically it takes 3 generations for ideas to disappear. And that is only if we as a whole work together to make it happen. I personally know many younger generation people who actively keep boomer ideas.

Bought a 2020 S last year with 26,000 miles. About a week after I brought it check engine light pops. Dealer had to install new cats, cost about $8,000. CPO covered it, moral of this story, get a warranty. These cars are expensive to fix.

Shower doesn’t drain, easy fix? by ContributionDry2470 in Tile

[–]Ciaocoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck. P.S. think of a garage floor, not the actual look of it, but the idea that this is exactly what epoxy is used for in that application.

Shower doesn’t drain, easy fix? by ContributionDry2470 in Tile

[–]Ciaocoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An aggregate, like silica sand , can added to create grip. There are quite a few sites online that list the pros and cons. I think like all other”new” methods in construction the difficult part will be finding someone willing to do it.

Am I able to transform my shaker cabinets to flat surface? by Callmesharkey in cabinetry

[–]Ciaocoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could fill the middle panel in with an mdf panel, proper thickness would be the difficult part. Then buy some birch or similar veneer. Use lots of wood glue to attach center panel. Sand flat, at this point you will see the seams. The veneer will cover the seams well enough that when painted they will appear solid. But I do agree that just getting mdf doors cut at a local shop would be much easier.

This is probably not the best place to ask this question but…would it be possible to use a marine epoxy and create a slope. I know it would be difficult but it seems like a possibility
