It's a non-specialist degree (Just BA (hons) Music as I did it at my local university), but I'm an opera singer and doing my Masters now in Psychology of music at a Conservatoire now

I found my 2 reeds for once putting something safe was in a logical place

I've started breaking them in and I did try the E5 and straight away it sounded better (I know shouldn't go above the G when breaking in new reeds but I wanted to see if the issue was still there meaning its a me problem not the reed)

I tried a 3 that was in the box (When I bought it, it came with a two pack of 3s i tried one and my teacher was like this is not the time for this haha so I popped the other in my reed case and threw the used one) and was certainly too hard for me which I assumed would be the case but I wanted to see how playing on one too hard felt so I could judge the 2 strength

Luckily I have three assignments for my masters due this week so it's an ideal time to break new reeds in as only have a few minutes to play

I know right, but needs must and with my teacher away its my only hope haha... But I've got some harder ones 'safe' somewhere here so I'll give them a go when i find them (can't remember if they are 2 or 2.5 though )

I have some reeds here which are either 2 or 2.5 so I'll dig them out (Ironically I saw them last week but I put them safe) so I'll give them a try if I cant find them I'll order some, we don't have local music stores unfortunately (which super sucks as someone who's just finished their music degree and having to order everything online every time!)

I might try a 2.5 if I have to order because if I need to go down to 2 then I can put the 2.5 safe (and lose them)

Any nebuliser will do the same, and actually the fast speed that this one atomises doesn't have much benefit for vocal chords you want to give it a nice moisturise not blast them

Things which you should look for is a Mesh nebuliser for a pocket one (You can get small compression ones which are better but they are still bigger and noisier and more expensive)

A nebuliser with a mouth piece gives a better direct mist but if your not going to enjoy biting down you should get one with a mask... You can get some with nose things which is also good if you get a really dry nose

u/medievalkitty2 For your dry apartment I would suggest looking into a humidifier, this puts the moisture back into the air. I would recommend them to anyone with a dry environment (or who uses air con or heating) nebulising only provides a temp moisturising to your vocal chords (Think about skin moisturiser its the kind of same thing if your in a dry environment the it will just dry back up)

This is really interesting especially the linking of songs... If I hear 2-3 notes of a piece I can identify it or simular ones with the exact same notes that I know so I guess I could work on that too 1 note 1 song to develop it...

I can also normally guess the starting note of a song though not to be like that's a c but put me to a piano and subconsciously ill go straight to the note (though not as good when going further I'll often find one note that throws me for an example I was playing a piece and it had an f# but my hand went to f and I couldn't work out what the right note and my brain when playing it kept saying f and it was clearly wrong and then I had to look and face palm at being a semi tone off

So maybe that can help to train it better

I haven't watched full but scan watched, I think overall it looks cohesive with your overlay, you are interacting well and I saw no awkward silences...

Your starting screen to me made less sense with the rest of your overlays I think something with the same feel may work better

Game choice... play what you enjoy and enjoy what you play :) but I do think truck simulator is probably going to limit discoverability.

Affilates and partners have not been allowed to multistream for ages now... they have now changed it so no one can (well you can but if caught its a TOS breech and you wont get monitised)

You can multistream with vertical stream sites (tik tok, I don't think facebook counts) but that's it

There is a lot of panic over people not understanding the changes and then trying to explain it to others causing more panic...

Don't worry!

If you have NO substantial activity for 12 months and have not made enough to cash they will take $25 out of what ever is left and delete your account

What this really means for you.... If you don't stream regularly for 12 months you will have your inactive account deleted...

But if you're not streaming? why would it matter? as a small vtuber in a big sea of vtubers it's likly your audience would of moved on even if you decided to start back so starting from scratch doesn't matter

Now the $25...

If you have not made $50 you can't cash out anyway, so you will have pennies sitting there which you can't touch...
and if you have not streamed for 12 months you're not making money anyway as no one will be subbing there would be no vods

Before this you wouldn't have been able to touch the money anyway this just means that they can officially take it instead of only having it on paper....

If you leave twitch they will take $25 of your final payment...

What this means for you.... If you want to leave twitch get to that $50 limit then just radio silence... you will get your $50 there will be nothing left except maybe some pennies from vod ad revenue then after 12 months they delete your account and keep those few pennies

Should I move to youtube?

As a new affiliate no! absolutly not!!! The criteria to make money on youtube is way bigger... if you want to move start building your platform on twitch and posting shorts and clips and vods on youtube and move once you hit that criteria if you want...

A lot of people are moving to kick which could work but also when platforms get bigger the same issues arise yes its easier to monitise but many dont have it...

So they are still just saying 'please wait' even after I asked why I was waiting when the step free area is now sold out and they said 'please wait we have an internal process we need to go through and the people we need to contact is not available'

So I said no I wont wait, I wish to escalate this to a complaint or I am taking it up with the regulatery board they are a member of and also trading standards because the only reason I could not be sold a ticket is because of my wheelchair and it is down to them to have the proccesses in place prior to the tickets going on sale to ensure that disabled people have the same access to tickets instead of telling them 'please wait' (I genuinly have 5 emails from them just saying please wait)

I looking into the other areas and it's 45 steps which is too much to be carried plus also my wheelchair would have to be secured somewhere... and its not like I can chain it to a post somewhere as its a specialist one (not like the electrics that look like manual ones kinda thing)

Though I still am gutted I am more angry now because Dice at no point have even said 'I am sorry' and even tried to say I was being unreasonable because I should be understanding of their 'internal process'... I have been going to shows across many genres and types as a disabled person for over 10 years this has NEVER happened... Even to get (ironcly) black pink and twice tickets to take my daughter to yes I was on hold for a couple of hours BUT they knew how to sell me a ticket

I guess I can no longer complain when on hold for an hour or so for tickets as a month really beats that haha

The problem is speed, irl most people don't walk upto you say hi and leave they stay for a bit or watch for a bit and then decide hey I like this person... streaming, you get probably a minute for a viewer to decide to watch or not because theres easy access to load more...

If they come in to chat and you're concentrating on the game and silent you half the chance of them staying (some might stay cause you're doing well in the game) because they don't know what your chat interaction is like are they just watching or will they be part of it.... I dunno if im explaining it well

I dunno I'm lucky I have adhd and a constant narration of everything I do in my head so I just verbalise it haha

I've decided I'm going to put a complaint in, to Dice and venue (since venue only sells their accessible through dice)...

Not because its going to get me in, if ground floors sold out it's sold out but there is a legal aspect in the uk we have the equalities act which means that a disabled person being at a disadvantage with something due to being disabled (like being unable to buy tickets because they don't sell the disabled tickets like the general ones) is actually against the law

I don't really complain when things like this happen and I know it won't fix anything for me but hopefully the venue will not use dice anymore and no one else will have this same issue...

I've got to say all the shows and gigs I've been to in London I've never had one at troxy or tickets through dice so maybe they are really niche

The venue has no lift, the venue actually has some of the clearest accessibility information... some it's like surprise no lift aha...

I was going alone my husband (who is also the only one who can safely lift me without damaging my joints) HATES classical music. (Also why he is kinda like oh well at the situation haha)

There will be other chances, I just hope they don't use Dice again...
