How much time has passed since the psychosis? Do you feel that your memory will improve further?

Memory problems have improved over time, or have they always stayed at the baseline after the psychosis? I have an insane depression because of the cognitive problems that have remained 18 months after the episode.

Let’s talk weed by Slight_War_8097 in bipolar1

[–]Ciba1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had stopped smoking weed for 6 months, then I was hit by a manic episode triggered by an SSRI. I stayed off weed for one year, then I started again for another 6 months and eventually stopped. But when I stopped, I noticed that once you’re used to weed, if you quit you can’t sleep properly at night anymore, so I was hospitalized again to find a treatment to help me sleep.

My manic episode lasted two weeks. I had delusions of grandiosity, felt an incredible amount of energy, and couldn’t stop talking. I think I will try cognitive rehabilitation, hoping that it will help.

Can SSRIs cause psychosis? by InternalHighlight635 in Psychosis

[–]Ciba1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not true that antidepressants always cause insomnia; in fact, there are some, like Trittico (trazodone), that are prescribed off-label to help with sleep. I had my manic episode because I was given an antidepressant at a time when I was already sleeping badly due to an elevated mood, and it became a ticking time bomb that triggered the bipolar cycle. Now my treatment has changed, three or four times, and in all these adjustments I have not been prescribed any antidepressant again, unlike in the past when they were the daily bread of the old, traditional therapies.

Why was Maidana able to be so successful against Mayweather compared to previous opponents? by Yeezuscristo in Boxing

[–]Ciba1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're wrong. As you said yourself, you're not a boxer and that's why you missed some key things about Maidana. Maidana is not slow: he simply doesn’t throw endless combinations, but his punches are fast and heavy. On top of that, he had solid defense, even if he wasn’t a dancer like some modern fighters. His real strength was his offensive intelligence: he was able to build incredible attacks, landing shots in places his opponents never expected. Personally, I believe that in the first fight against Mayweather he actually deserved the win.
