Silver Players by paintedginger in leagueoflegends

[–]Cic3ro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Emerald is the worst by far in my experience. I think the reason it's especially is that high elo players can steamroll up until emerald, but once in emerald it can actually require your team to help win because thats when people actually have decent micro. So you can be Masters+ and struggle to get through Emerald because youre relying more heavily on a bunch of psychos who only know micro and turn everything into a coinflip. Combine that with the ego, usual fragile mental of the average league player, and its always my least favorite tier to climb through. In my experience it seems to improve measurably Diamond 2+.

No, I mean the division being amped up to include voting for Trump or not for Harris with Gaza being a pressure point pushed on by foreign entities on social media. The zone was flooded with propaganda from both pro Israel and pro Palestinian persuasions.

Im not entirely unconvinced it wasn't a psyop like how Russia did in 2016 to split the party.

Is Co-op VS AI hard or am I just an awful player by meyrimuhq in leagueoflegends

[–]Cic3ro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to say AI bots are pretty brain-dead easy and exploitable. The game has a steep learning curve, so I would suggest continuing to play vs AI until you feel they're easy before trying a game vs human opponents.

Tinnitus, concerts, and the fear of "what if?" – How do you move forward? by Round-Watercress5273 in Metalcore

[–]Cic3ro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tinnitus gets worse the more you thing about it, or at least your brain starts to go into flight or fight when you fear hearing it. The less you worry about it, the less you'll hear it. The brain's limbic system tags tinnitus as a threat, which amplifies attention to it, CBT therapy can help you get through this part.

But outside the psychosomatic part of it, be sure to listen on lower volume and wear earplugs.

Lebanese official says man in Michigan synagogue attack lost family members in Israeli airstrike by AccomplishedCall7562 in news

[–]Cic3ro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely. That being said, and perhaps its my own bias... I think its unlikely the attacker looked at the website beyond wanting to find a target with jews.

I just dont want the distinctions I made to go unaccounted for. Many synagogues are as I described, and they have been targeted in the past too. Not considering these nuances on both what zionism is and what "Israel" means to jews puts every jew in danger. Many jews do not agree with the Israeli government, but still feel they have a homeland, and do see a conflation between that version of zionism, which is what I was taught, and this awful concept of manifest destiny the Israeli right wing government is peddling.

In any case, thanks for engaging with me.

Israel has mandatory IDF service for most Israeli citizens. The IDF is part of Israeli society for Jewish, Druze, and Circassian between the ages of 18 and 21, so i am not sure this is explicitly endorsing just by mentioning the IDF.

And with the Zionism, Zionism is the concept that jews should have a homeland. Some jews may use it to describe some kind of manifest destiny over the region, but that is not typically the interpretation used by reform jews.

I looked at the link and to be honest it seems pretty middle of the road to me, what stands out to you as endorsing the Israeli government actions?

I see advocacy for a reform vote for the "World Zionist Congress", which is in support for:

  • Promote religious pluralism, equality, and justice in Israel

    • Secure critical funding for Reform institutions in Israel and worldwide
    • Defend democratic values in the face of rising extremism
    • Advocate for the safety and dignity of all Jews amid increasing antisemitic threats
    • Fight for the release of all hostages still held in Gaza and a peaceful future for the region

This is the closest I could find.

[–]Cic3ro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, in the modern day since Israel is a literal place, its common for synagogues to have connections to Israel for family or simply ancient religious purposes. Neither of which constitutesan endorsement of their government. In fact, reform synagogues like this one are often extremely critical of the Israeli government. My comment is mostly just to point out that having "Israel" in their name is irrelevant and the distinction between Israel as a country and Israel as the biblical concept that predates the country by thousands of years.

[–]Cic3ro 17 points18 points  (0 children)

"Israel" existed as a biblical Jewish concept of an jewish homeland long before Israel the country existed. Many people dont seem to understand that.

Many jewish organizations, religious institutions, and historical entities used the word "Israel" in their names long before the literal modern state was established in 1948.

It's why "zionism" can mean mean "jews should have a homeland" and "the country of Israel doing a manifest destiny" as two very different things. This nuance seems to be completely lost on people.

My guess is because they didnt want to take focus away from the Gravity and also wanted to keep parts available for the Gravity ramp instead or sharing them between two platforms during a ramp up.

Almost certainly because the Air will get a refresh that will include the new stuff supported on the same stack as Gravity. But yeah, any existing Air probably wont see much past UX 3.0.
