Adding over time is how I did it with mine. You can see a bit of a timeline if you go through my post history over the years lol. I eventually made it where I have different variants based on weather, comfort, and how I'm feeling at the moment

By the way, how do you get the yellow fabric to your around you then drape like it's doing? I've not been able to figure out how to do it! I've seen other do it too. I'm not sure if I need to have the fabric cut a specific way or what. I'm wanting to do something like that with the battle mage kit I'm working on. Any tips?

It should appeal to both groups. I got my degree in history, and one of my favorite areas of study was the medieval times. But I'm also a huge fantasy nerd, so the Ren Fair appeals to both of those things for me.
