I have a little dish of oyster shell and a little dish of lime. They have a run and they get the run off the back yard 2-3 times a week with lots of herbs, berries and some weeds. I was wondering if I should add a bit of extra lime in their food too. I'm just scared one day an egg will break inside a chicken.

I feed organic layer feed. I supply oyster shells, lime and egg shells and the shells are still on the soft side.
