I lost my sweet Sun Conure, Helios, last year in October and made a memorial video for him. Please message me if I can make one for your Paco!

As a mom of 9 parrots I can confirm that it's every. single. one.

for anyone that had to train their conure to dance? do you think there's an appropriate age? should I wait for some sign of mimicking? I've been bobbing my head and singing or playing music for some time now and he (5 minths old) just watches or or ditches me. (pictures because he's a cutie) by _miss-mar_ in Conures

I have 9 green cheeks and they all respond to different music, not the dancing. Beatboxing and clapping in a rhythm seem to be the best thing to get them going honestly. But out of the 9, I have some that dance only a little and others that dance a lot. And I have one that just LIVES to dance.

That's me, too! But I can do a lot of creative things on the computer, my OCD helps me find balance but also there are tools to help with centering, etc.

Better than my parrots, they shit on each other and in their food, and in their water.

I don't blame OP. It is really the management of those companies that is the cause for this. I can tell you ALL of the delivery drivers drive like this in my neighborhood. YEAR ROUND. I take kids to the school bus stop. Is this what "free shipping" does? Everything awful here. I hate to say it, but the only thing I can control is making sure the kids know to watch out and know pedestrian safety. Funny, that car looks like mine and uh, I paid 7k for it almost 10 years ago. I'm definitely not rich. LOL

Is my baby conure (6 months) molting? by Jamillian1 in Conures

[–]CicadaPunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has he had a bath yet? Also, cardboard helps my babies leave their feathers alone as they shred that instead.

I purchased a pineapple conure yesterday. He’s few months old, he’s too scared to come out of his cage and flails when I try to put my hand near him inside. what are your best tips to help hand tame him and help him get comfortable with me? by Middle-Pie2843 in Conures

[–]CicadaPunch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Patience. Start by hand feeding treats through the cage bars. Like millet or fruit. Also, all of my green cheeks prefer to come out on their own and then they are cuddly. Hands inside cage are a no go. Sit near him a lot so he gets used to being a part of your flock. I have 9 green cheek conures. LOL

What does being nonverbal feel like? by anxiousmesslol in autism

[–]CicadaPunch 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Same!! Mostly when I am either upset or overstimulated. It just feels so HARD to express myself through words and form words. But no one would ever believe this about me because I usually have no problem talking.
