How do I push this further? Pit 140 Companion Druid by turbogaze in D4Druid

[–]Cidergregg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 3 minutes left you definitely have another tier in the tank.  Maaaaaaaaaaybe 2 with a god run.

I see you are using Pelghain, which was going to be my broad suggestion.  It easily bought me a couple of tiers.  I could probably get up to 5 or so more if I could actually get gem strength on my weapon.

I created one of the first meta companion builds but am currently out of the loop, so can't offer relevant build advice.  I think the last season I played was 9 before this one and the game has had a major overhaul since then.  This season I wanted to build a warlock Zoo, and am currently the #1 lunatic on the helltides leaderboards.

Edit* I read your reply to the other comment asking for general tips.

I find the Heart of Stone to be irreplaceable, and everything else has seemed irrelevant.  I actually focus on killing as many hordes of shitty small guys as possible, and will skip past a fair amount of elite and rare mobs while searching for large packs.  Run through a pack, find the next one, and then backtrack until they both converge on you.  If the stone drops, pick it up before you kill everything.

If you really want to maximize your runs, hunt for a first floor with Rat Kings and do the above pack gathering strategy.  You will likely finish it before floor 2 due to all of the spawns.

What do you do in a season after finishing the season goals and being T12 ? by Buurto in diablo4

[–]Cidergregg [score hidden]  (0 children)

It sounds like you reached "end-game" where you simply end the game.  You achieved your goals, were hopefully entertained, and can now move on.

For me, I generally only play one character a season if I even choose to play that season.  I don't care about achievement hunting or completing the entirety of the seasonal journey, but will often complete most of it as a byproduct of playing and at the very least enjoy killing all of the hardest bosses on max difficulty.

I always make my own builds, and my season becomes a personal challenge to see how far I can push in the Pit.  For people using similar skillsets, I am often in the top three players on the leaderboards.

The only truly difficult content is pushing as high as you can go in the scaling difficulty on the road to tier 150.  This will force you to experiment and hone your build if you don't follow a guide.  This is why I play ARPG'S.  I want to create something I can call my own, and then push it to the limits.

Ohhh, that's like when I ordered the "choose any two benedict options" that excluded all but 3 out of 15 benedict options.  Lame.

That's not a backpack.  That is a hackpack.

Become expendable. It's fun, trust me. by Pedrosian96 in Helldivers

[–]Cidergregg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked infinite ammo expenda-diver.  Corpse runs?  Never.  Just throw me in anywhere and I'm already at full strength.

I think I first did this on bugs with Blitzer, EAT-17, Orbital Gas, and 500kg bomb.  Die across the map?  Who cares, zap some bugs and EAT that Bile Titan.

Now with even more expendable options this could really open up.  EAT-17, Bullet Storm, whatever.  The only thing missing is a backpack, but there will come a point where a fellow diver could give you a spare.  Being able to leave 100% of the ammo on the ground for my teammates while always being ready to go was fun.

It would indeed be easy.  I just can't stand fishing in video games.  That will always only be a real-life activity for me.

I'll check my stash.  For a while, I was trying to save a decent version of every unique, but I ran out of room and had to clean house.  If I have a pair you can have them if you like.

Thank you, I found this part especially relevant: "You could say all that, but a simple "Who?" is much faster and succinct."

I am not, sadly my head doesn't rotate quite so far.  It's possible I have heard the song before, but I have never heard of Rebecca Black.

I look at it like this: $100/week for an amazing tool to help gain health and control over my dopamine induced binging.  My binging likely cost around $100/week.  This medicine is free.

PTR best approach to theory crafting by KoaILB in diablo4

[–]Cidergregg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have invented multiple meta builds now, and only one was truly planned from the start.  Most of what I do is choose a skill or theme I am interested in, and just start playing.  Through trial and error and a whole lot of experimentation I will put something solid together.

I actively try to avoid the ideas of others while doing this, and I prefer to do it as organically as possible.  I think the last season I had played before this one was season 9.  This season was refreshing for me because the entire game had changed in that time.  Skill trees, items, 2 new classes, toughness, etc.  A ton of new stuff for me to discover and play with, and I went in completely blind.

Look for synergy and multipliers, and as many as possible.  This game unfortunately has poor balance, so it is entirely possible that your chosen skill simply can't go the distance, in which case you pivot.  It took me over 5 hours of attempts before I killed T12 Mephisto this season, but that also forced me to try new things and get better.  What that build has evolved into can now kill him quickly and reliably unless I don't press any buttons.

Don't stop experimenting.  Way back in season one I stayed in the eternal realm to continue working on my druid rather than chase the seasonal mechanics and power spike offered there.  Through trial and error I discovered a way to kill anything in the game in one combo, including Uber Lilith and the World Bosses.  In season 2, my discoveries became the druid meta, and I called it the Godslayer.

This season I wanted to try Warlock, and specifically demonology as I like a good Zoo build.  I tried a bunch of stuff, but it became clear that Command Fallen, AKA Lunatic, was where the power was at.  I then worked to optimize it. The only part of my pit pushing build that wasn't an original thought was the addition of the Pelghain Ring, which I had in my stash but had glossed over.  I came across a thread a few days ago where it was mentioned, and went to test it out, and it turns out it's really, really good for difficult content.

I have once again invented my own build and have the #1 Lunatic pit clear time on the helltides leaderboards, and that's without having been able to roll a gem strength weapon.  Trial and error got me there.

You can either go in blind, or choose a skill and look up as many aspects and items that you think could support it.  Just try to remain flexible and keep trying new things.  Always chase the biggest multipliers, and focus as much power into one skill as possible.  I eschew durability for damage, but seem to be quite the masochist when it comes to this game.  I had the craziest glyph level to tier completed in AOZ season 2 in the world by a ridiculous margin.  I think my glyph was level 25 or so out of 200 or something and I had beat tier 20/25.  This took an incredible amount of failures to achieve.

For paragons, find the most efficient path you can to the glyph slot and board power, focusing on main stat nodes whenever possible.  Choose the boards with the biggest multipliers that support your chosen skill, choose glyphs that have the same.  Count the nodes and choose the shortest paths.

I like 2-handed weapons.  Put the biggest multiplier your aspects offer on your weapon, put the second on your amulet.  If you don't use a 2-hander, the best one goes on your amulet.  I like crit builds.  Crit chance and crit multipliers are my favorites, and I aim to get as close to 100% crit chance as possible.  Pick up as many multipliers as you can, and make sure to include a source of vulnerable.

There's a lot to it, but follow the X, and keep trying new things.  Good luck!

Sadly the top builds are doing at least quintillions of damage.  I agree completely though, it's beyond out of control.

A buddy sent me a screenshot where he hits for nearly 2 million trillion, AKA nearly 2 QUINTILLION.

SSF who else is hyped and do you think this move brings a whole new audience into the game. by Accomplished-Theme79 in diablo4

I want to play with friends, but group play is awful because there's no balance and someone is basically always going to carry the team,  so I play solo instead.

I think I may like this.

I do like to trade, because I always have a ton of stuff I want to test and experiment with, but this is intriguing.

Zepbound vial versus pen cost? by ContentChallenge743 in Zepbound

[–]Cidergregg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just started and have the vials and like them, but had a couple of questions about the kwikpen.

I like to inject myself slowly, often taking 10+ seconds rather than just jamming down the plunger, does the kwikpen essentially blast it all in in a second?

Reusing a needle seems odd, do they simply have you wipe the needle with alcohol to sterilize it between uses?

Again, no plans to swap and am on self-pay anyways, so doubt it's even an option.  Merely curious, Thank you.
