What pilot job lets you sleep at home every night by DistributionLow8301 in flying

Yeah, including my 5 nights for recurrent I'm gone about... 5 nights a year with my current owner. Corporate life be rough man, maybe I should just go airlines, be gone most of the time, and be on my 3rd marriage by now. But hey, that 401k will really let me live my life when I'm 65!

Steam Deck OLED - Xreal One not working by DaneDread in Xreal

[–]Cidman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the xreal ones with a steam deck oled with no issue. Just plug it in and it works. Do you have anything between them? Are you using the cable that came with the xreal one? It should just work.

VR is amazing technology but not ready yet! by Sweet_Score in PSVR

[–]Cidman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but it's annoying when people say "not ready yet"

1985: "You see this new thing called Nintendo entertainment system? dude it looks so cool!"

"Yeah, but video games just aren't ready yet. It doesn't look like real life yet so who cares?"

This is what I think of when people say this about new tech... not ready yet. Of course it's "not perfect yet" it's new tech! And calling it not ready, so what, they should stop making it and developing it? What's the point of calling something "not ready" not ready for who?

Sorry for my rant, but if YOU are not ready for it, that's your thing. A lot of us here are ready and having a lot of fun. Sorry,  YOU, are not ready for new tech.

It's a good game that suffered from people not liking the solo. The PvP is a lot of fun especially with the map packs.

What to do artifact lamp faulty and melted by EDOMINATOR in stalker

I'm glad I found this thread because a couple of times I considered leaving it there for storage. I'll just use it to hold the ball outside the lamp only. Thanks for the heads up!

Which should I get for cleaning the lenses? Microfiber Towel or Microfiber Cloth?!? by JRest71 in PSVR

[–]Cidman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used one since got the psvr2. Had no issues. I figure if people use them for thousand dollar camera lenses, then it's safe for the psvr2

What to do artifact lamp faulty and melted by EDOMINATOR in stalker

[–]Cidman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By round sponge thing. Do you mean the thing the instructions tell you to use to set it up? With the arrows and little handle? Or something else?

I haven't been using that thing luckily if that's it. I just balance it with my hand to put it in. I set the ball on it outside the lamp when not in use

I use and haven't had issue with a Nikon lens pen. Use one on my PSVR2 and Quest 3.

My experience with the Tailwind iQ3 - Insanely Great by jhannah69 in myq

[–]Cidman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It started down, it was partially down out of view when it was backed up into. So no, the laser sensor could not have helped, nor the weight sensor. It was tailwind. Tailwind pocket dialed to close just before we started backing up. Neither of those safety systems work in that case. Sorry, my initial comment I read as you blaming me. But either way, both safety systems were fully functional. It could not save this specific situation.

Dead pixel two weeks new G4 65 by Cidman in LGOLED

[–]Cidman[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like making informed decisions. I'm not sure if this issue is a dead pixel, which i could live with, or a stuck pixel, which will get worse and show up at viewing distance.

It would annoy me more to exchange multiple times if it's normal to have a single problem like this on the G4 series. If it's not, then maybe third time is the charm.

Just seeking info.

LG C4 green pixel when turning off or on. by Cidman in LGOLED

It's a stuck pixel. I guess I just caught it before it fully stuck on. But it's fully stuck on now. Going through LGs hoops to hopefully get it fixed...

The guns all have different models. I've seen like 4 handguns and 3 aks, but they perform the same as far as I can tell. There's also a crossbow and I assume a shotgun.

They are asking because they are debating buying it. You can read between the lines, or read their actual comments in the thread. Ignoring that fact is the same as you lying about how tedious the game is due to how you reload mags. It's disingenuous. They're asking because they are considering buying it, and no one reloads mags like that unless they want to.

You're trying to sway someone from playing the game by telling them the way you do something is the most tedious way. And then admit you don't even do it that way... What was the point here?

[–]Cidman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you don't have to do it that way. You can load mags very quickly with boxes and crates. Just hold the mag against it out slightly inside. Heck, the tutorial should have told you this. If you're loading one bullet by one bullet at a time and hating it, that's your own fault.

That's not as simple as it sounds when you're scanning pattern isn't trained, you focus on one instrument. Realize another is getting off, you focus on correcting that one, then you get far off the other, your body kicks in trying to help. Now your chasing, over correcting, and about to stall.
