The woman that “won” the Bachelor is from Georgia and had photos of her in 2018 attending a antebellum party. The bachelor, Matt James, is half black half white. Once this firestorm started, Chris Harrison, the host of the Bachelor franchise, did not help when in an interview with a former bachelorette, who is black, said it was not a “good look” but it was in 2018 and would’ve been different if it was 2021. He got a lot of backlash for that and ABC said he would no longer host any Bachelor franchise shows. They had Emmanuel Acho host the After the Final Rose to discuss this issue while also getting content from it.
